Hello friends. After learning a lot I finally spent some money to start a site. The KW is good and does not have high competition. When I started doing SEO initially saw some movement and ranked four of my KWs in less than 100 rankings but now nothing seems to be working. All my KWs dropped and now only 1 KW is ranking on 187th position. Here is what I have done so far.

  • Created a site focusing one main KW and around 10 LSI and long tails
  • Added 17 articles of around 500 words with images and vids. Two or three of them are amazon reviews.
  • Focused different KW in each article

Off page:

  • Created four Web 2.0s mannually focusing different KWs
  • Added 5 articles to them. All hand written and unique
  • Linked to relevant post (Also linked to a related authority site). In one web 2.0 I used naked url, in rest anchor text.
  • Then I made around 150 links each to 3 of the tier 1 web 2.0 (Using around 20 KWs, general KWs, naked urls and different variations)

After doing off page SEO II saw KWs appearing in ranikngs. But when I stopped doing SEO KWs gradually disappeared.
What am I doing wrong?
Should I keep doing SEO to keep improving rankings?
Or Is it not enough SEO to give me a stable SERP at what ever position my KWs had gained(why did they drop)?

Now SEO become number game there is no long term ranking. Keep on building site, work only on sites which gives constant traffic

I lost one sits which brings 1000 to 2000 hits per day went to Zero in one day I spent more the 200$ only for quality high PR BL. Now I am building another will see how it goes

I agree as the others that more links are needed but also perhaps your second tier links are causing your web 2.0s to be penalised or perhaps even delisted, that would explain your drop.

You need to build more web2.0s. keep working.
and I think it is enough when you add ONE article (400 words) + some images on the web 2.0s.

Sorry if this is a silly question. What does "building web 2.0s" mean? I see this a lot on BHW and I don't know what it means to be honest.

Web 2.0s are blogs. LIke blogger.com, you go there open a blog let say its called myblog and you get your url myblog.blogger.com
Then you add some info, about me, etc. And ad some content you can add only one relevant post with 500+words that hase your links to you money site(your site that you are building links for).

But you don't wanna open 2.0s only in one place search other places where you can build your blog and that is. Just remember each 2.0 need to have original article that is relevant to your money site.

OP, first write a half decent article on a proper long tale, something noone else is ever targeting, and see if you rank first page.

This will rule out a penalty.

Ok, I'm not speaking from experience, but to succeed you have to build a lot more web2.0s. You can lessen the effort needed by manually spinning articles for Tier 1 using a free software like Kontent Rewriter. You could also risk using completely auto-spun articles using the Tier 1 features of Kontent Machine or Wicked Article Creator.

You really need to automate the tier 2 (and tier 3) link building processes using GSA Search Engine Ranker.

AND you should use something like Rankwyz for creating Web2s. Creating them manually seems like a ginormous waste of time - you could be building more money sites in the time that it takes to do that.

Thanks for all your replies friends

all my tier 1 is indexed well in google

There are many reasons :

1 - Make sure your on-page optimization is good. I assume you have a unique title for each article. like the " Everything you need to know about -keyword-". Check your ranking for the unique keyword, if it's not in the top 5 then you need to work on your On-Page optimization

2 - How tough your keyword is. Did you do competition analysis?

3 - Are your Web 2.0's fresh or have some good metrics. If they are fresh then they worth nothing unless you are competing in a really easy Niche

How high-quality are the articles on your own site?

What about the on-page optimization?

Your tactic is sound, but getting rankings strictly from web 2.0s isn't going to work, unless you're going after some really easy keywords. They simply don't hold the same authority as a PBN. Typically folks mix PBNs for their critical keywords and Web 2.0s for their URL, Brand, etc.

  • Then I made around 150 links each to 3 of the tier 1 web 2.0 (Using around 20 KWs, general KWs, naked urls and different variations)

This seems to me to be the critical factor. How are you making these links? Are they coming from sites with authority (PA/DA) themselves? Are they indexed?

Stay away from the temptation to build crappy links in volume, and instead focus on a good few solid links added regularly. SEO is very much a journey, not a destination - so don't stop, because the journey will be over.
