Well by default, SER only removes duplicate domains from the contextual platforms, and duplicate urls only from platforms such as comments, trackbacks, etc.
So depending on how many dup-urls are in those will determine the final total of unique domains and that's something I have not done, and most likely won't do for any of my lists.
And the reason for not doing that is pretty simple.
For trackbacks, comments, etc, each page will have a different PR. If you remove all dup-domains from those engines, you might be deleting a page with the highest PR value. And the best way to run a project targeting those engines would be to use the Page PR filter in SER and not Domain or Sub-Domain PR filter.
So that's why I don't remove dup-domains from the whole list.
