Question about Google Places

Hello I have signed up for Google places, and added my business and everything on there. I have also verified my business through post card and it's been at least a week by now. I don't understand why, but my website/profile does not show up when I actually search for it on Google. What can I do about this?

You should contact Google as generally once you verify listing by postcard verification it goes live instantly.

It sometimes takes time for it to register. I've seen it take 5 weeks after the pin was verified. It could be that you have an error on the listing or did something that might have caused a "flag" within the eyes Google....

Be patient, it might take up to 1 month to show on Google Place.

It does take some time.

It also depends on what you're searching for, though, too.

If you search directly in the Maps, do you show up? Are you searching for your specific keywords and it's not showing up....but there aren't other local businesses listed either? Your map is usually only going to show up on the first page of google if there are enough other competitors to show up next to you, too.

Google had a major trouble last year. I had the same problems it says Pending forever

Now you can call Google for that matter. I have talked to a Google rep before but I just forgot because the Call US just showed while I'm searching for it

I know Google only allows you to verify using the pin for 30 days. Do they still accept the code when you verified after 5 weeks?

you can contact through google places rep through email and they call us for manual verification. I have done that

More often than not, it is just a matter of time. Be patient. Have you tried to search your phone number in maps.google.com? I suggest you use the old/classic maps version, selected by clicking the question mark in the bottom right corner. If you don't show up there, then you ought to call Google. Sometimes you can find it there where you can't find it anywhere else.

Showing up in the SERPs for your brand name (for example) I think it is mostly about trust, and Google connecting the dots. That can take awhile, especially if the biz is new and doesn't have many citations behind it. It would not be uncommon to have to wait 30 days for this.
