Ask Your Questions Here! | Blackhat/Whitehat SEO Helpdesk

I really have alot of questions to ask, but I will ask it one by one and have a read the past questions by members.

So first I want to thank OP (What is OP? Haha!) for making this thread possible

First Question: How can I create PBN? I'm really a noob in terms of this.
Second Question: I have my website on Page 2 and it's dancing on Page 2-5 of Google, I want to reached the 1st spot, is there anyway I can do it? I only ran GSA SER, nothing more. I don't even have a good lists because I only let SER do it.

Any suggestion? Thanks! :)
If it's already established on the first 10 pages, just a little more link building will do. But don't use GSA without the proper filters (sometimes it doesn't count OBL/PR correctly, so try with a tool like GScraper if you own a copy) you'll do more harm than good.

Try a set of authority links (not trying to do self promotion ~_~), Google will see that you're gaining links from sites that have a higher authority and your link quality is increasing, it's proportional with rank.

There's too much for me to cover in one post, there are full tutorials on building PBN's all over the internet and most of them are decent. I've covered quite a few PBN questions in earlier posts, so I urge you to take a look at those. If you have any specific questions pertaining to building/managing a PBN, let me know.

Just reposting since you might have missed it or maybe didn't read it for wall of text on that message lol, wrote it on iphone
Yes, actually. I sent 25,000 Google +1's, 2,500,000 Twitter tweets and 10,000 Facebook shares to a website to test that.

It's completely disappeared off of the SERPs, I think the way Google differentiates a viral campaign and one that's pure social signal spam is if your link velocity increases with your social signals. Not low quality links either, make sure they're high quality.

I personally wouldn't have it show after 20-30 seconds, I would have it either be onclick for when the user tries to unlock hidden content or have it set so the user can see part of the site (change opacity), but can't scroll down or do anything until they do the survey (have it onload, no delay).

Thanks for this Q and A thread.

Ranking my first website, and I made like 10 web 2.0 for buffer sites (tier 1).

For tier 2 Bought manual blog commenting services, wiki blast and bookmarks..
Though it's been 3rd week since I started I haven't seen any increase in my serp. So I made another post to my web 2.0, presently there are 18 buffer sites for my money site which is in a low competition (according to google) but some good competition seeing the market samurai.

Do I have to keep consistent on buying other manual blog commenting services?
Made some spam of my money site in many facebook pages which is no follow, will it hurt my ranking?
Add more buffer sites?
More wiki blast for tier 2? or social signals for my money site?

Any advice would really help..
Thanks in advance!
I've tested a lot of high PR blog comment services from here, almost ALL of the links have tons of spam, and the ones that don't have the posts move to the inner pages after x amount of comments (usually 10-20). They're pretty much useless then, so don't waste your money consistently on something that won't help your site.

Even some regular low OBL blog comments would be better than those 'high PR' comments here.

Then I think I'm fuked... I've been sending about 45 social signs per post spread 1-5 per day for 15 days and bought 1k real likes to my fb page which is linked to my website... and it's only 15 days old.. Am I doomed to start all over again??.. (sent about 220-250 social signs total since I drip feed them and not all of them have been sent yet)

Also for some reason some of my internal pages show 36k Google+ and I've NEVER ordered google+... but it isn't a bug because different checkers see 36k google+ too.. Woorank and such... what the fuk?

Send me a PM, I think I may be able to help you. Unless you want to publicly post your domain name here, I can definitely help you out.

Good insight nullfo, I appreciate it!
By the way, here is my question to you -> By redirecting (301) an expired high PR domain (with a clean backlink profile) to a newly registered domain, will the PR gets boosted for new domain? And what about the PA and DA? How many redirects needed for a fresh website to outrank the good old ones in the same niche?

Nice thread, OP!

Now my questions:

1. One of my blogs got penalized by Google (it was ranked 5th for main keyword and now it's on page 4...). What do you recommend, follow Google's advices to lift the ban or also try another methods for de-penalizing (if they exist..)
2. Best practices for local SEO?
3. Your Do's and Do Not's when creating backlinks.

Hey Nullfo,

Thanks for the Q and A thread, has been a good read.

Here is my question about my previous SEO strategy.

1. I was ranking 5-8 websites really well for Local SEO keywords that are competitive (think LA area). My strategy was to have the top 3 anchors natural URLs and brand name, then diversify the rest with keywords & partial keywords. Most of the links built were from my own PBN, Public blog networks, doing guest posts and posting on social media accounts such as Facebook, twitter, Google +, Youtube (I made videos for each site), reddit, stumbleupon and pinterest.

Then I had a VA use my Web 2.0 network to post links to all the Tier 1s mentioned above. This strategy was working great from Jan until April 11-18th. One by one in mid APril my websites starting going from page 1 to page 8-9. I setup Google WMT to see if anything weird happened and 2 out of the 8 websites got manual penalities. The other 6 didn't. The 2 websites that did were both SEO related websites and the other 6 were not related to SEO.

So what I am wondering is, what new strategy should I do now or do you recommend for the other 6 sites that haven't received the manual penalty? I am worried to use my PBN now and even guest posts seem to be not working.

thanks for a really helpful post.

You have mentioned for tier 1 only web 2.0s or pbn links what about using pdfs, social bookmarks or article directories with high pr mainly using naked urls, or brand names to diversify your links ?

I have a question..when you do an AMA on BHW, do you find yourself not getting any work done?

Thanks for offering to help so others can learn!

I recently bought I nice domain from godaddy, and added 30 pages of content. My deeper pages with uncompetitive terms are ranking fine, but my main pages on the harder terms are being over optimization penalized. My keyword density is fine, I know I'm getting hit because less optimized pages are ranking for those key terms. Is this normal?

I have one website getting around 600 UV, around 100 articles.
Articles are all ranked for their keywords between 1-30 but I'm having difficulties ranking homepage and category pages.
I have around 600-800 words content on category page + stream blog of the category.

Obviously competition for homepage and category pages is much harder, but outside the homepage ranking in page 4, others category pages aren't even in top 200.

I haven't done much link building as I really don't want to lose rankings on this website. Today I've got a dozen of Web 2.0 (WP, tumblr, yola etc.), I'm sharing every post on Twitter/FB/Pinterest/G+ + 2-3 social bookmarks. I have some related articles linking back to my site because of quality of my content.

I don't have much budget and knowledge for building a PBN. I can't really buy links as I'm not working in English and I don't want English content linking my websites for now.

Any advice on how I should go now for a better ranking in homepage and category pages ? I keep adding more articles on the website every week, and building others related websites, but they start with no authority.

Don't really see the problem, I answer the questions while I'm at school during 6th hour because:

1. All other sites are blocked
2. I can contribute to the brand name of Authority+
3. To help people out

No, I don't get anything accomplished, but I still wouldn't anyway, since making a few vectors takes my class a week to do, I can do whatever I want when I'm done in the first 20 minutes.

Lol I know right?

Currently learning programming languages and the time it takes my class to finish 3 freaking exercises(about 1 whole class) I've already finished about 15 of them in a single class lol..

Also, you are probably making a decent living of IM already, have you ever considered quitting school to focus on IM alone? And if it's not asking too much , what is your daily revenue :D

Try http://web2rule.com/ and get some social signals for each post. The homepage probably contains the keyword and is crawled by search engines, so try adding some ping engines if you're using WordPress. Are they indexed? If not, fix the on page SEO and ping them.

If they are indexed, try doing what you're doing, but a little bit more aggressively. Adding 2-3 social bookmarks isn't going to magically rank you #1, so add maybe 20-30 over the course of a week and set up an OnlyWire account and have it submit to all social networks as soon as you make your post.

You kinda answered your question yourself, if you're trying to rank the over optimized pages, try changing them and making them more like the pages that are ranking higher. Maybe add some new content on the same page so Google picks up new content and recrawls it(idk how to explain it, lol). If one of your pages is ranking for "best bed in america" and you're trying to rank another page for the same term, it's going to be a lot harder to do so.

For tier 1:

30% main anchor
25% secondary anchor
25% bare domain
20% generic

That's what I do.

Google definitely targeted those, maybe because you offered shady things on the site? Not shady in your terms, but in the eyes of Google, most likely that was the case.

Have you checked and made sure that no other businesses did negative SEO on you and that all of the links are still live? The SEO related websites had competition that knew about SEO, obviously, so it would not surprise me if negative SEO was done.

If you'd like, you can PM me and I'll send you a report of the links, we have an enterprise account over at ahrefs and we'd be happy to give you a report, it's not like we use our limit each month anyway.

Other than that, guest posts are still fine. Matt Cutts was referring to people blatantly spamming, but if you do it correctly and build relationships with site owners (I try to keep them in an excel document), then it's still something that is great to do.

What I would recommend you doing is to try to snatch some new domains for a new PBN, try to make sure the quality is great and don't waste your time on sites that have been used in a PBN before (check http://archive.org), check the backlinks and make sure no link building was done (www. and without) and check PR/DA/PA and don't bother with PR 1/2 DA/PA > 30 sites. http://www.domcop.com/expired-domain-auctions is a great resource.

I wouldn't bother messing around with it. What was it penalized for?
Use your own personal (can be small if it's for local) quality PBN (check archive, check ahrefs [www. and without], DA/PA/PR etc) and use it for all of your clients.

Check the OBL, I have an OBL filter of 8 (when it's 10, some sites have inner pages, so every 10 comments they move to inner pages, so I make it 8 to make sure it has <8 comments). Check PR and DA/PA if it's blog comments.

There's too much to cover, so if you could specify what type of backlinks, I could elaborate more.
