I've been working with Mylikes for a couple years now and while I've moved on to bigger and greener pastures. It's still in my eyes a decent way of making money if you can do it right. I've made about $3000 dollars from Mylikes over a couple years now and I've tried nearly every possible way to make money on it. I just want to share a little background about why I've come to discover mylikes clicks get shaved. In search of finding ways to make more on mylikes I went to more blackhat methods of trying to get clicks. There are a lot of ways to do it but I found a way to trick lots of people to click on my link. I got something like 10,000 people to click on just one of my links. at 2-3 cents at that time I should have made something around 200 dollars from that one link. Did I make that much? Not at all. I ended getting about 20 bucks from it. Now that's a lot of traffic for very little cash. So with that method being a failure I just decided to make things easier for myself and play it by the book. I shared the links in relevant places and got less clicks but too my surprise I was getting paid for at least 90% of my clicks. So why was I getting paid for these clicks vs's the previous ones?
Here's my theory
Mylikes gets paid from their own ad clicks. To make money they need to pay you to bring them traffic to see those ads. If they simply pay you for every click you give them they are going to go broke really fast. So when I send them poor quality clicks that people visit and say "This isn't where I thought I was going" and close the window, Mylikes gets no money making benefit from it. None of those people click on ads and read their stories. Mylikes being the savvy company it is would need some sort of measure of link click quality to make sure they don't get poor quality clicked into oblivion. But what is the best web metric they could use to measure a quality click from a poor quality click? Bounce. I'm convinced that Mylikes only pays for clicks that don't bounce after the first page. If somebody clicks your link and then doesn't continue to the next page and keep reading the story, you don't get paid. The moral of the story is share mylikes links to people who actually want to read the posts. You will get paid your 1.5 cents per click nearly every time if you do that. Stop wasting your time trying to fool Mylikes with your tricks. If you want them to pay you just figure out some way to get the right people to see their stories.
I honestly don't believe that Mylikes is trying to shave anybody's clicks in a fraudulent way. I believe they are just protecting their interests and trying to turn a profit like any of us our. Since I started playing by the book and sharing their links how they advised me to I made good money and had nearly all of my traffic counted.
