ecigarrets - whats the deal?

Many people talk about this niche as if it was "payday loans 2.0" or some SEO dream niche.

Honestly, I dont get it.

I looked at some affiliate programs and they all suck offering very little money/conversion.

Sure there is traffic, but the monetization suck unless you have your own product and sell to your customers long time.

So whats the deal with this niche? Am I missing something?

yeah true at least for my country i was ranking number one but the affiliate commissions sucked hard.

Then get your own product? Find a place to buy it at wholesale. Also i'm not sure but I bet adsense pays well for it.

Ecigarette is one of the hardest niches to rank because you can't open google adwords on that niche. For that reason everybody tries to dominate it with SEO. Its a huge niche. In my country if you can rank on that term you will easily make 5K / day if you are selling your own products. Does it work? Yeah it does work like a charm but it doesn't help you quit smoking it just helps you not to smoke.

Well I smoke ecigs and can tell you I love them. I tried quitting cigs dozens of times but ecigs were the only thing that helped me DRAMATICALLY cut down my smoking. I use to smoke a pack a day now I only smoke a pack every 4-5 days. My lungs feel much better and I can run much farther than I use to.

What does confuse me though, is the fact that you can get ecigs virtually ANYWHERE. And the brand I use (Logic) is the same price online as it is in convenience stores. So I never go online to get them. I just walk 30 feet to store. And I've never understood why ANYONE would want to buy them online. It's 100xs faster and more convenient to just go to the store.

I dont know about the actual cpc or cpa payouts and what not. But I can imagine its huge because of the 967 million worldwide smokers that want to quit but lack any real willpower in their life. Thus they'll try crap to help them, and e-cigs is one of them

I think most experienced internet marketers wouldn't be attracted to such a niche as it is dominated by actual e-commerce stores.

Same as payday loans, even if you could rank this niche, your efforts are better spent killing it in other niches.

Only newbs go after these niches.

The reason is they are illegal in lots of the countries.For example Turkey.
