I think you could be a lot more successful if you didn't use the cover creator and made covers either yourself or had a worker do it. The cover creator really is a piece of shit. What I have been doing for my olddude style bundles is have a basic template, change the stock photo and title. Nothing too fancy, but still not using the cover creator.

My books always do a lot better when they're 10,000+ words. You might be better off having him write more in one story. Amazon knows when you're just spamming, and they are less likely to promote your books. Quality over quantity is definitely true with KDP.

Thank you. I changed it now and use Photoshop covers. A simple template with title and authors. It looks way better. But to see a reaction I have to wait a few days again.

I also have full books in stock.
Maybe around 20% are less then 10,000 words. Most are between 50,000 - 100,000 words.

I don't think Amazon is making a difference between my books and other books.
Quality is not possible to measure for Amazon. How should they do it? The only way to see if the content is good are the sale figures. If you have a nice amount of sales, Amazon will advertise it. If you don't sell it, yeah, try to find the book after a few days...

Also how could Amazon know, that I am spamming? Where is the difference between me and a publisher, who is uploading his stocks? I don't think that is the reason.
Also my German books doing still well, but are actually only short stories (maximum 3,000 words).

There is something, but I didn't figured out yet.

I changed my keywords now.
Honestly, they were really bad - took them without any research and thinking before. Put in things like "NSFW" and that is not a working keyword for Amazon. Changed 50 books already, hopefully that will help.

New books will get "rotating" keywords.

Posting new stats later this week.

Looks like it was about the keywords. After changing them in around 150 books, numbers are growing again. Tonight I will change the others also.

Tags are no longer available for KDP.
Amazon dropped them a year ago?

Names and descriptions didn't receive a change.

Amazon offers a field called Keywords under "3. Target Your Book to Customers".



My worker has to apply for a new passport, because he wants to marry his German girlfriend.
So he wasn't in the whole week, but he promised to make overtime next week.

I will give new stats on Sunday, to confirm that the new keywords are working. But it looks good until now.

It is important to move out of the own comfort zone. And, I know, you can read it a lot, you have to take actions to receive the fruits.
Mass uploading is only one possible way to get money out of KDP. Quality books can also bring nice money, but for me they are heavier to produce.

But we will move around next year to another country - but don't know yet where.

There is a new peek and I don't know why? Maybe some books now get advertisement from Amazon ("who bought this, also bought" category maybe). 43 sales mean around ~86,- USD income. Best day ever in this journey. Hope more "best days" are coming
