Had a quick question. BTW, been a NHS user for almost a year and VERY happy with the software, support, updates, etc. Anyone who doesn't have this needs to get it. That said....

... I noticed sometimes certain proxies are getting temporary time bans from Google. I've been keeping a close watch on the logs as this has been happening more frequently lately. Not sure if it's the proxies I'm using or what it is, I've even taken the threads to their lowest levels and it's still giving me temporary search ban warnings every few hours of use.

Would it be possible to add a feature to automatically stop using proxies that have the temporary ban for a few hours automatically and then start using them again? I don't see an option for it in the settings but it might already be a feature. It would be a great feature if it isn't already. Thanks!

You can already accomplish this, first you will want to put your proxy list in a file and have NHSEO load the proxies from that file (select "Continually Update From File?" and then enter the file location using the "Browse" button. Then select the "Remove Bad Search Proxies?" and set your "Load File Delay" to 5-15mins (300,000 - 900,000) so that the bad proxies are not attempted right away.

You can also use the "Re-Schedule Search on Bad Proxy" to ensure that any bad searches are re-attempted later on and/or set a "Minimum proxies For Searching" so that you do not end up in a position where all proxies get burnt out or even worse end up burning your home or VPS IP from over searching because all proxies are burnt out.

Another option for ensuring the proxies are all working is to use the "Check Proxies every X mins", this will periodically check the proxy list without actually removing them from the list. This will act more or less the same as the above but may result in repeatedly trying to use an already burnt IP address.

I hope that makes sense. If not ask any questions you may have.

There are some guide videos on the support forum here. Some of them need updating and others that I have updated will be added to the post at some point today.

Yeah no probs. There are similar vids (settings I use and an Add Profile Guide) but nothing really from start to finish in a simple format. I will try and get one done this week. The indexer will help to get your links noticed and indexed much quicker, it is definitely an optional thing as opposed to a necessity but it is there if you want it.

I just a couple days ago released a huge update to the way No Hands Proxies saves and outputs proxies. It is possible this is causing the crash, I will check into it and hopefully have a fix up at some point today.

There should be no conflicts using any of my software with other SEO software.

I posted the link to the video guides on the support forum in the last post but you can view them here. They should also be included in the account email that you received immediately after your purchase was completed.

I don't normally do Skype support as it shouldn't be necessary in most situations. If you have any specific questions you can post them here and I will get them answered as soon as possible.

UPDATE: I forgot to mention that I have had No Hands Proxies running non stop since your last message and it has yet to stutter. Do you get any sort of message when it crashes? When is it crashing (i.e. on start up or while checking etc)? What output options do you have? I have not been able to recreate any crashes so far.

While the settings video is slightly outdated the only differences are that the Generic Anchor Variations controls have been moved to the "App Settings" tab, whois controls moved to Platforms tab while still maintaining exactly the same functionality. New platforms are added but work the same as others.

I think the new quality limits aren't touched on in the videos but again they act like the other controls, If you set an Alexa rank max of 100,000 any site with an alexa rank above that will not be posted to. Moz Rank DA and PA work exactly like PR except for Moz Domain authority and Page Authority.

I think the only other difference may be the manual captcha option, select that if you want to manually enter captchas. Ultimately if there is any control that you do not fully understand from its label you can hover over it and you will be presented with pop-up text that explains what it does and often how to use it.

Updated settings video is one of the things on my to do list but really not much at all has changed as far as how to use the controls and the pop-up text is should be more accessible than a video as it is right there for every control whenever you need it.

If you need anything explaining in the meantime before the updated video is made you can ask here.

I have integrated the text file into "no hands seo" the only issue now seems to be is that no hands seo is also checking the proxies that have been imported by the file. Is there a way to turn this feature.

Correct me if Im wrong are we not duplicating work etc? Or is this correct and normal behavior?

At the bottom of the proxies controls there is an option labelled "Check Proxies every X mins" where X is a number you set. If you uncheck this option NHSEO won't check the proxies in that list.

The file you are looking for with regards to the frequency of loading in the proxies file is the "Load File Delay", it is in ms so if you want it to load the file every minute set it to 60000 and save the settings.

I'll try to get some updated videos up tomorrow, specifically on the settings and how to setup a profile.

Creating a tier is as simple as checking the "Make backlinks to backlinks of this profile?" option in the Link Settings tab of the Add Profile Wizard when setting up your profile. Alternatively to make a tier for an existing profile you right click on the profile and choose "Create Tiered Profile".

The options for the tier profile creation all have pop-up help text to explain what they do.

Google updated the way they receive and send searches and this had an affect on searching with proxies (mostly public proxies). I have just issued an update and it is important that all users update to it as soon as possible.

A reply for what? I answered your questions and explained the reason for no posts is likely due to the change at Google which has now been fixed and updated. Updating to latest version should get you back up and running again.
