VA Question

Just a question, guys, do you trust your VA?
Don't you worry they might quit working for you and use your method to create and rank their own sites to bank instead?

Exactly. That is why I'm doing everything by myself. BUT it can be time consuming and it is taking time off from making me venture into other sectors.

So I was thinking of hiring VA and that is when I thought of this question.
I definitely know I can't hire people in my country, because they will DEFINITELY copy/steal methods and ideas to replicate themselves (the people in my country have no creativity. Just good in copying ideas without ethics or integrity. Or you could say they're smart to think for themselves).

Well, maybe unless I take the time to find a girl, take her out a little, smack her tits a few, and make her become my girlfriend and ask her to help out (yeap, that's why I am still single). Nah, joking about that.

For friends, well, they have their own jobs. And not that I don't trust them, but no doubt they will start doing it and bank for themselves too sooner or later.


P.S: I'm referring to tasks like finding domain, setting it up, optimizing it, backlinking campaign, .etc.

Running your own business and taking matters into your own hands takes a certain type of person.. most people are just happy to just work for someone else! Sure, they might THINK about running their own gig, but they always push it into the future.

So how do you make sure a VA doesn't run off with your business? Easy... split the work and hire two, that way they don't have the full "method"

there is a difference between the way an employee thinks and how a boss thinks. employee hates taking risks/investing and loves stability and for the boss its opposite. That is the reason a VA won't think about starting their own sites and rather would enjoy the salary that he gets.

I have hired 9-10 people till now to do small tasks, that includes revealing them the niche, keywords, and all the plans. Till now noone have tried to copy me since it requires risk of investing few thousand dollars at first and then the results are not guaranteed, so most of these employees/VA are not willing to risk any money.

Try to hire people from third world countries, they are happy to work for you rather then working for themselves. Most of them are trained to do so from their birth

Some people are not just business-minded persons and enjoy working for others. It also takes a lot of skills to manage a business, quite different from just following instructions from a boss. But yes, sometimes VA's with the right mindset quit and start working for themselves. Ultimately, it's your responsibility to choose the right VA.

The business model of having someone do a significant part or the entire work, while expecting them to not have a mind of their own and behave like intelligent human beings, has only been able to survive for so long elsewhere because of the cost to run a business that can compete and lack of publicly available information and resources. Welcome to freedom of IM.

I don't hire someone, prop them up like I'm programming a robot to do my work for me, and expect them to keep their head down. Don't create your own competition, unless you know how to deal with them. Do retail employees know how to make the clothes or what the sales margins are? Do waiters know where the spices are originally sourced from and how to get the best shipping rates?

As we know that having the know-how isn't all that's necessary, this is where networking and the meat of business school comes in. If you don't hold onto what makes what you do different, then you're just another "Me Too" operation.

I've never hired a completely automatic VA, but if I did, they'd never understand how I do what I do unless they tried and failed and tried and failed and tried themselves. And even then, they'd be doing their own thing, because I would never openly sell myself out unless I'm selling my business. This is, after all, business.

In an industry with as low of entry barriers as IM, you can't be a lazy and pridefully ballin' boss. Think chain of command and keep things need-to-know.
