Lately Clickbank has been acting bizzare....

Hey Guys,

I've been making money with clickbank since 2012, and I've been going through ups and downs with it. But the last 3 days I hit the record LOW since I began.

Traffic is consistent, however sales are declining dramatically. For the past 3 days, I've been averaging 3 sales per day! Before the past 3 days I would get 5-15 sales per day. It's a dramatic drop, but what doesen't make sense to me is that sales have declined so dramatic when traffic remains the same. I have done some research to see if any competitors has sniped the google search page, but everything remains the same. There is nothing that I can find that can justify the cause of this dramatic change.

Is anyone else experiencing this dramatic drop in sales? Could this be due to the time of the year? Any ideas?

We haven't noticed any change these last 3 days.

However, some products/niches are affected by seasonality and even time of the month. Had you seen any such trends before?

In addition, check if the vendor of the product you are promoting has modified anything on his page (and get in touch with them). They may be testing something which is negatively affecting performance.

Some niches are largely affected when summer approaches (typically until mid July) while some niches thrive during this season. I would check your hoplink, your traffic channels, the vendor's landing pages, the vendor's checkout page, and even contact Clickbank to find out whether you have been temporary or permanently blacklisted with a specific CB vendor for one reason or another.

From 15 sales per day to 3 sales is really nothing to go on. When you are making more sales you can properly look.

It's all relative.

For the OP it is (in his words) "a dramatic drop" (and he's been generating income since 2012).

If the OP has been doing 15 sales for a few days and then it dropped to 3, than that's not a significant change.

But if the sales were consistently around 15/day (as OP said), then a drop to 3 is significant.

OP, do let us know if you find out a reason for this drop.

Thank you for the replies, I appreciate it.

I went through all my hoplinks, following all the way through the checkout page and everything seems to be okay ( my ID is on the bottom of checkout page )

I am in a niche that doesn't really fit a 'season' such as weight loss, etc.

To give better numbers, with an average of 1000 Unique Visitors per day, I've been reaching 10-15 sales. I'm getting the same amount of visitors without the same amount of sales.

I was thinking of contacting clickbank but what could they possibly say? My traffic is clearly there.

All of the vendors have the same exact pages, nothing is different.
This is AN extremely BIZZARE situation.

Perhaps for some people, this may be a common issue, but this is fifth day.

In response to a previous poster, if I was blacklisted by a vendor wouldn't all sales vanish completely? In addition to that, wouldn't the vendor page say something such as SUSPENDED. Traffic is being recorder by CB so i don't think that's the issue.

Check the vendor's page thoughtfully, he may have sabotaged your hoplink.

Its cause click bank products have the absolute worst landing pages and people are sick of them now. Think about it, if your noticing a decrease in sales it can only be cause people know about them now and how there typically garbage.

OP, the first step you should make is to contact the vendor - tell them you have experienced this drop in traffic and ask whether it is just you, or whether they have experienced a drop from all affiliates.

They may be able to provide insight about what's going on.

Maybe I did not explain myself well, I apologize, there isn't a drop in traffic. The clickbank analytics are showing normal trends of traffic. What I'm experiencing is a dramatic drop in sales. For example, today I got ZERO sales. I keep re-checking my hoplinks, they are all fine, as a matter of fact, it probably wouldn't be of good use to check them since the traffic is visible in the analytics.

My thoughts about possible reasons for sales drop:
1. CB payment pages slowness (SSL software update against Heartbleed or maybe just slow servers causing slow page loading)
2. I noticed that sometimes, the CB Hop redirection to payment page takes too much time (2-5 seconds!). In this case, most of the buyers may leave, while the hop itself is counted.

I assume that in both cases we have no control

Have A similar problem and I have an equation in my mind:

(hop = yes) + (sale = no) = only HOPE
