Web 2.0 Still works??

Hey,

by 2013 Web 2.0s worked really well. I ranked around 4 websites using just proper web2.0s and few T2 Gimmicks!

But now, None of web 2.0s works... Recently i saw many web 2.0 service popping in bhw. Is web 2.0s spammed heavily? is it a reason? Even saw somewhere in webmaster forum that they are starting to ignore web 2.0 links... So as of now, forum profiles - gone, web 2.0 gone, commenting will get site penalised, guest post (a Myth- some say yes some no), article directories gone.. As far as i know only PBN stays here...

Just want to know what exactly works.. PBN, High PR Backlinks, High PR Blog Posts! Throw me something guys!

P.S. Dont post (Try it etc etc. I have tried most of it.)

I've ranked sites exclusively from web 2.0 fiverr gigs. They have worked well for me!

This was for very basic terms, easy to medium difficulty but they work well for me.

They dont work good as before but still does the job to get your on firstpage, then after that go heavy with pbn links

you need to come up with new ways/tricks.

a shotty bot created web 2.0 will not work.

web2.0 lost value ?
nope , not at all. some time ago while playing with manual seo i found a trick and now web2.0 work 3X for me.

(even forum profile links work , you just need to find new ways to make them work)

Recently created around 50 web 2.0s with unique articles. ranking just dropped

@Tranza: how much domains you think i should make for medium- tough comp keywords? (for PBN)

@innosoft i dont measure keyword comp by search volumen like everyone does here (thats stupid for me, you can have a 100 month searches keyword and be owned big brand domain with hundred of good natural links), its all depend what link profile your top 5 competitor got. You would have to dig on your competitor link profile, go on majesticseo and check trustflow and linking root domain.

There are plenty of ways to make quality tier 1 links. Just don't limit your thoughts to web 2.0

I do use them in a mix but never solely relied on web 2.0's alone.

ok , here is a suggestion.

build good quality web2.0 then add bookmarks + social signal+ some high pr blog comments.

wait for web2.0 to rank in top 50 (for short tail) top 30 (for long tails) top 100 (for main keywords)

What is exactly your strategy for web 2.0 ?

Opening account, adding 2 - 5 posts with links and that's it or you keep these web 2.0 alive and
keep updating once in a week with some videos, photos with email posting ?

Would love to know your present web 2.0 strategy

They are very very competitive. but ya with just web2.0 i got into top 10.. but i rank no more

Will implement them and test out my strategy.

Do web 2.0s work solely for ranking a website to the first page on Google. No, unless your competition was so low it
was barely worth it. However web 2.0 pages can be an excellent way to build a nice tier to your money site with great
content on them that could convert the readers.

Yes, they still work. The effects should be visible especially for low/mid competition terms. The fact that they're heavily spammed is also true, so yes - they could be less powerful than they have been before.
