reviving sites baned by Google

I have a few affiliate sites that have been banned by google, not sure exactly why, probably keyword stuffing .... Some still get good traffic from Yahoo.

When this happens I just register a few more domains and go through the loop again, but it would be interesting to try to get re-indexed.

Other than changing the content and begging google for re-inclusion via the webmaster console anyone got any ideas ?

Correct the problem and submit for reconsideration in webmaster tools.

Honestly though... if you are going to make new sites... correct the problem on the banned ones and submit for re-inclusion... clean your reputation then start dirtying it again elsewhere... don't pile up unresolved bad reputation.

Yes sure, be a good boy and do what google say. F*** that. I want traffic now! black hat is about pushing the edge, if you don't push it you don't know where it is. I develop sites for affiliate income, auto generated, if I followed the google webmaster guidelines I'd get 0 traffic. So I try different things to see what works.

Some of my banned sites went from 0 to 50000 pages in google in a few weeks and made money, with 500+ search results a day each. So they eventually get banned, some more quickly than others. If they weren't a little black I would still be waiting for the first dollar.

I don't particularly care about the domain names, at $6 a pop, I have no problem registering more, it takes me 10 minutes to set-up a site. But some banned sites I want to keep because they make money from yahoo searches, so, if I can get them back in google it would be nice, but not worth changing the content as they get traffic, and not worth applying for re-indexing.

Much easier to just set-up another domain or 10.

Two things to consider...

If you fix it then you'll know what went wrong and perhaps you can find a better way to not get caught.

Don't make google remember you. If they have to remember to ban your site they have to remember your accounts and affiliations. People see this when they get banned from adsense for click fraud... any associated sites and google accounts also get banned. The company I work for had an employee who got his side business banned for incentivizing the ad clicks. Since he was also on the the company's google analytics roster the company's sites got banned too. When he cleaned up his sites the company's sites were unblocked too. If you are really trying to play a "long term" game you really need to not stockpile bad reputation in their system.

In order to remove site ban you need actual human intervention. Someone actually document your case, creates a records and manual unflag(enable) that particular webpage.

I get your point but being banned from adsense isn't the same as being banned from the google index. There are no implications for a site being de-indexed, other than that particular site not being indexed!

Certainly it's not sensible to allow google to relate black-hat to white-hat sites and I wouldn't reference them both from the same google account.

The problem is there's no way to stick to the google webmaster guidelines with an auto generated affiliate site, so it's not possible to 'fix' things, sure, I try different things on many different domains to see what happens but as google don't say why a particular site is de-indexed it's impossible to 'know' how to 'fix'.

Reputation with google is only relevant for adsense/adwords.
They can't relate one domain to another unless you do something to relate them in a google account. The're not really interested except in the case of TOS violation or fraud, which I don't do.

There's no such thing as 'long term' in black hat, when something stops working I just move on.
