I made the comments so that people who are still not aware of such and have plans to the same thing will have 2nd thoughts before implementing it. He's not trying to steal trffic away though. As long as he sends the people to clickbank, I don't see the problem. Hell, they should be happy to get the extra traffic that they've been missing out on.

i was surprised when I saw this topic... cybersquatting/typosquatting and trademark infringement is definitely illegal and I would expect most of you to know that. Just because you're 15 doesn't mean they're not going to protect their rights. If they do find out they will definitely atleast ban your clickbank account for stealing affiliate commissions you don't actually deserve.

@eclectic - 1)hes infringing on their trademark. 2)hes redirecting them with his affiliate link so he gets money for users who he didn't drive to clickbank - they were looking for it in the first place. You can't argue with this, IT IS ILLEGAL. Its like trying to take the supreme court head on... a laws a law.

I honestly just don't get some people on here. You guys buy/sell paypal accounts, EPN accounts, craiglist accounts. There ARE risks involved with doing blackhat marketing. If paypal found out you were using an account you bought on a forum that had fake info, they could charge you with identity theft. Would they? No! Why are you condemning me for being a true blackhatter? I'm in it to make money, not play by the rules.

And the fact that you don't think I deserve the commissions humors me. Money is money, whether I deserve it or not. I spend my weekends designing sites, doing web design jobs, and helping the community while other kids my age are out at the mall. I've spent so many hours getting myself to the level I'm at today. Please don't say I'm un-deserving. I work my ass off.

So, um anyway... just to add a suggestion for you Henry..

Someone thats typing "clickbank.com" into their URL bar is a almost definitely an affiliate, or interested in becoming one. There are many products out there that cater specifically to Clickbank affiliates (tools, scripts, etc.) that have affiliate programs. Set up a rotator on your typo domain, and rotate 3 or 4 of them to see what gets the best conversions.

It may be illegal but I think it's much less "devious" than almost anything else I've ever heard on here. Granted - I guess he should take some precaution but somehow I doubt he'll get into big trouble. If anything - they'd possibly get the domain name taken down and possiby try to sue for any profit he made on it. I don't really see Clickbank wanting to make a problem with him (even though they can). He's making them money too.
