I didn't say to throw HTML in there, just the URL.

When you add a url you are adding html. Because the URL contains http, and http is a part of html, it is trapped and sent to the spam folder.

Yea, I really needed a copy and paste from wiki to know what HTTP is. LOL Grow up, buddy.
Anyway, a text url is not html code. It doesn't get trapped unless a spam filter is specifically set up to trap the text "http://". I've had a pretty damn high approve rate with my type of commenting in the past, so you can knock it if you like, but at least I don't gotta run spam bots on two dedis and 26 million sites to get a 0.009% approval rate, in fact it's around 30%. Yes, some get trapped, that is unavoidable, but my point is that the extent that spammers go to to get backlinks from comments is ludicrous.
I'm done nitpicking, got work to do today.
I am not trying to nit pick. However, if you assert http:// is not a part of html, you should read the wiki page and the wc3 page.
You are correct in you have to set your filters up to catch it. This takes whole hot ten seconds. My approval rate is general between 30 and 55 percent. However, I am not looking for bragging rights, I was pointing out something to look out for. I was getting so many spam comments from XRumer that it was not funny. I did something about it. If I did, count on others doing the same.
