Monetizing travel blog

Hey all,

Been here for awhile but kept a low key. I have a travel blog with roughly 2000 unique viewers a day. I wanted to know what ppa or affiliate network I should be looking at if I want to have a flight/hotel search box on my main page? I know these are newbie questions but I am hoping that I am in the right area for asking this question.

A good 80% of my traffic is US/CA.

Also, yes I have tried adsense and although it was providing me a decent daily number, the fact that I had to have 3 ads that didnt really provide a service didn't jive well with the blog. I am willing to integrate a flight search as people are always inquiring how much money it takes to travel and it provides a service.

You can use hotelscombined.com program, they will give codes for these search boxes

I use booking.com for hotels.
I suppose you could use something like expedia if you want to go with both flight and hotel searches.

Definitely don't use hotels combined. They are a mess. They pay you per click and if those clicks don't convert to sales for them your account will be locked out just before you reach $100.

You are better of getting accepted in a larger affiliate site that will give you a percentage of the commission rather than a payment per click.

I receive a cheque (or direct deposit or whatever) from hotelscombined quite regularly. It's just beer money for me, so I don't check too deeply, but they seem above board to me.

I use hotelscombined and never had any issue with them. If your traffic is "good" it will work.

i mainly use edreams for flight/hotel search as a traveler, because i usually get better prices, especially for flights and car rentals. However, if you are looking for commissions, expedia gives better commissions than booking. Unfortunately, no insights for edreams and hotelscombined commissions.

Sending traffic to hotel & hostel booking sites has worked for me.
