Permanently Closed Marketplace Sales Thread

In the past I had signed up with a CPA company, but I had a hard time trying to find reputable companies (advertisers) to send leads to. I like to hold myself accountable for the quality of the advertiser I am sending my clients/leads to, and sometimes mistakes are made, but I spend a lot of time researching advertisers. I really don't think this is something I should be concerned about, i.e., it is something I believe should be handled with a company like you that links the two, marketer w/advertiser. I've seen computer backup recovery systems that did backups and wanted more money once someone needed to do a recovery (or they didn't do any backups at all and just took people's money), skinny berry weight loss systems or hormone pills that didn't have enough of the active ingredient to make any difference (but recommended highly by certain drs.), and reports of people cancelling that were put on recurring but advertisers not honoring the cancellations, etc. -- lots of horror stories, bad reviews, scams... Honestly, I couldn't find ANY advertisers that had valid offers that were high quality companies. I really like the cpa model and the pay seems like it would be wonderful compared to other methods of making $. Do you review advertisers to much the same degree that you do marketers? I would love to move forward and get the bad taste out of my mouth that's been there for quite a while... thanks.

Hi Kevin,

I tip my hat to you for the very well thought out post. I'm very happy that you asked the question because we rarely get the opportunity to detail all of the things that we do differently as a company and how efficiently we run our internal operations so that things go smoothly on the user end. Rather, its the front facing elements that attract the most attention and while I think that is completely appropriate, its nice to have an opportunity to discuss other items.

More to the specific question - Yes, we are very discerning about who we work with. At one point, CPAlead was pulling in ads from nearly 400 different advertisers. However, I changed that dramatically when I took the helm. Why? First off, its an absolute logistical nightmare and we had to dedicate far too many individuals to managing our advertiser accounts and our accounts receivable, it was also a bit of a compliance nightmare as we had to track what each advertiser wanted then create different rules in the system. Today, we have a fraction of that many advertisers in our system and the vast majority are the "major" players who we have exclusive deals with.

Moreover, we spent some time tracking things that I find to be very important. I created a scoring system for our advertisers and if they ever fell under a certain score, we cut off business with them. The scoring system included obvious categories like timely payments but we I also created several extra categories that allowed us to scrutinize their reliability. Things like how often do we get scrubbed? Why do we get lead reversals? Are the advertisers able to explain things to us? Do they pass along Affiliate ID's so we know WHERE the bad leads came from (so that we can manage our network) or do they simply say hey CPAlead, here's $10,400 of bad leads, you figure out the rest. In short, we tried to narrow down on those who we deemed to be the most reliable, ethical and transparent.

I can say that we're light years ahead of where we were and if you're driving quality traffic, CPAlead is the absolute best network to work with. No other CPA or Content Locking network has taken these steps since it costs money to allocate staff. It costs time to go through the process and figure things out and when you have a team of 1 or 2 people, 3 or 4 as many do, there's much more money to go around. Its not nearly as good for Affiliates in terms of payouts, offer quality and the like but its more profitable and Content Locking for most is a quick copycat business (Take CPAlead's business model, replicate and put money in the bank). That's fair and competition is a healthy thing, but these are the differences.

Now, can I say that there will never be a bad lead? Of course not, it happens and its the nature of the business. Specifically, that of incentive traffic. Can I say that we're leaps and bounds ahead in terms of limiting those instances? Yes. Do we scrutinize unlike the rest? Absolutely, we do and have been doing so for a long time. Its not something you can do overnight since it takes months of data (you have to see who sent which leads for a given month, how many months it happened in etc. Some advertisers you can understand within 2 months, others 4, others still take 6 months to show their colors - it all varies and we've put in time that is well over a year with a high level of scrutiny).

I hope that gives you some level of comfort. Its absolutely something that we're aware of, something we care about a great deal and something that we've addressed through action (as you can see by the long reply - forgive me for that, but you left a great question and deserve nothing less than a detailed reply imo).

I would love to have you join CPAlead and give us a shot to see how you feel about it yourself.

Thanks again,
Peter

I'll do that, Peter. I will join up with CPALead and give you an honest shot. For the longest time I had the choice of doing CPA and screwing everybody out of their hard earned cash and banking big, i.e. feeding people to the wolves to be taken to the cleaners, or sucking it in and not making any money with CPA. So I chose the latter because it made sense to me that everything should be win-win-win as much as is possible. Again, I will sign up and give you an honest shot. If it wasn't for the moderators here at BHW and their support of YOU, including WizGizmo, we wouldn't be having this conversation. I have read the whole thread and can see you have made amends with the past (as much as possible [an employee isn't overall responsible for the operation of a company]), have made changes, and are pressing forward. I think you sleep well at night knowing you've made a BIG change for the better for a lot of people, and I know we are all looking forward to holding you up to the standard that has been set. For those of you holding onto the past, it's only going to bite you physically, mentally, emotionally... it just isn't worth it. It's a new day at BHW and CPALead -- looks like we have a decent network to run with -- let's make some money, help others while we are doing it, and be happy.

Kevin, you have my sincere thanks.

When I made the plunge and bought the company, I was driven by the desire to make this the best place for all Affiliates. To shore up every single department and run it with the efficiency of a Fortune 50 company but the family like community feeling of a very small company. I'm humbled and thankful that those who didn't have a good experience with CPA in general or even CPAlead are happy with today's CPAlead.

We've made so many improvements that it not only doesn't resemble the OLD CPAlead in any shape or form, but I believe that no other CPA or Content Locking business can keep up. It's 100% driven by great Affiliates like those here at BHW, including yourself. I've said it before and am always happy to emphatically repeat that "Affiliates are the heart and soul of any platform" and they need to be treated that way. CPAlead is here for Affiliates and we'll take every last bit of feedback to be whatever you need us to be so that you can all succeed. I want every Affiliate to do better than they ever imagined they could.

Please always keep the communication open. As an Affiliate at CPAlead, we're partners and we'll always work together in such a manner.

Thanks so much,
Peter

Thanks Mrshune,

To you and to all: If there's ever anything that I can help out with. Anything that I can shed light on or provide detail about, please let me know.
CPAlead has a lot of features (outside of Content Locking) that do extremely well. From non-incent CPA to mobile, we pride ourselves on providing quality monetization solutions.

Happy to answer any questions or help out anytime.

Just start to use CPAlead today,
great interface btw!

I just share some link locker, surveys and slideshow survey ads, but when I chek at my statistics just 3 clicks shows of, when I know it has much more than 3 (I used a bit.ly in the link locker)
Why statistics are not showing all the clicks?

Hey Cpalead,

I have been with you guys before. And I got a couple of questions.

- Do you still have the paypal functions so users can pay instead of filling in surveys if they prefer to do it like that?
- Do you still have to prove yourself with crappy offers untill a surtain ammount is reached?
- What was it that I read about faster payment with $0 zero costs? Is that just once a month? and what about your normal payment? So if I am on net30 and I would be payed on 30th of april but I request the payment on 31th of march when will be my next option for a payout or what will be the next natural payout?

I want to promote my own books. And I would love to see what you guys have to offer for a few countries... My content is real but I prefer to have atleast an x amount of dollars before the user can actualy download it.

And I dont want to prove myself with crappy offers which no one fills in.

Peter...

I attahced my content locker that is accessed from US ip.

- Offers 1+2+4 are endless surveys and when you try to complete 1 you have to complete another gazilion survey inside that offer... and the best thing is after completing 5-8 surveys inside of that offer it will NOT be counted as complete in my content locker.
- Offers 3+6 are 1st page complete (registration) offers but when register (sometimes more than once) it will NOT count as complete.
- Offer 5 is suspended domain! (suspended for a month now)

As you can see when the user comes to my website he won't be able to complete an offer hence he won't get my valueble content which will hurt my reputation.

Any suggestions/comments ?

PS: I did send an email to support about this week ago.

Thanks re the interface! :) Almost everything in today's CPAlead is completely different and improved upon, I'm so glad you like it.

Regarding the stats. It depends on how you're tracking clicks. The most common thing we see that causes confusion is when you track clicks to a page. A page will can get several clicks but that doesn't mean that the offers will.

For example, you might have 100 people view the page where the Content Locker or a single ad (display) exists. Its very unlikely that all 100 of them will click. More likely is that a small percentage will click through.

Please shoot me a PM with any details if you'd like me to take a look at your setup and I'll happily help.

Thanks,
Peter

Hi Dollarz,

First off, thanks so much for coming back, we'll do everything to make sure you're very happy that you have.

I'll answer your questions in order

- Yes, we do still have the paypal functionality if you wish to use it :)
- No, you don't need to come in by running lower tier offers. That didn't make any sense to me and I had it changed very quickly.
We give you access to the same pool of offers. Now, if you have great traffic quality, we can see whether some of our advertisers might extend some exclusive offers or payouts to you.
That makes a lot more sense to me. Provide everything we can and if you go above and beyond, try to get you something special that might be whitelisted. We share quality information and are always trying to add good users to some of our whitelisted offers.

Mind you, everyone enjoys the higher payouts we have from our exclusive contracts. You get that from day 1.

- Yes, if you're on a payment term that is slower than bi-weekly (which we have a special offer on for BHW members - see initial post). We still know how big of a deal it is to get you paid ASAP. It puts strain on us obviously since we're advancing everyone as fast as we can but its something that I made sure we prepared for and worked out. As a result, after spending a bit of time with us and letting us see that that everything looks ok (no fraud or anything) we'll enable instapay. This allows you to cashout early to a maximum of $250 once per month ($100 on the very fist instapay). You choose whenever you want to cash out and we'll process ASAP (takes a max of 48 business hours).

What if you're doing bigger volume and you want to cash out? Well, chances are that we'll upgrade your payment terms anyhow so there's no problem. The idea here was to help those out who aren't generating that much revenue. We want everyone to get paid as fast as possible.

Its not just offers, conversions and optimization - though we have that covered with the best you can find.
Its not just prizes and bonuses, but we know that some love that and
CPAlead you covered with the best

My 24/7 and those within the company is to see that CPAlead covers you on
every front imaginable to make it your favorite platform ever. If we're missing something, let me know and we'll look into it. This is a platform FOR Affiliates :) Nobody and nothing is more important than Affiliates. Tell me what we can do and we'll make you happy with us.

Thanks again to everyone. All of you mean the world to me and to CPAlead. Let us work with you so we can send your eanrings soaring.

Hi Automation247,

We welcome PPD networks who are interested in working with us. In fact, we have a lot of services and tools built out specifically to allow us to better team with you such as our API.
Working with CPAlead comes with a multitude of benefits, please feel free to PM me directly and I'd be more than happy to look into things with you.

Hi The.Torment,

So these are standard offers and actually quite popular. They're known as co-reg paths and do very well from an EPC perspective.
A co-reg path can be rather long and does have an ending, I test a lot of offers myself.

However, they do take time and quality is assessed based on how they back out. In other words, the advertisers have statistics showing them how much money they'll generate based on X amount of people going through that path. They measure that against an Affiliate's performance (this also helps them detect junk traffic).

If you find one isn't to your liking, I would simply disable it in favor of other offers that you are more comfortable with. On our end, we display the best performing offers according to our system's calculation. While that yields the best earnings for everyone, it doesn't always mean it will be exactly what you're looking for. You may have a specific user flow that you'd like to promote or a particular niche that you're targeting.

In that case, you're welcome to manage your surveys from within our dashboard.
If you're accessing the offers from a U.S IP, you'll be able to test them out to see if you like them or not.

Please let me know if that helps.

Thanks,
Peter

Hi,
most of the network are facing some little variations lately. I would like to know how is your network performing and, if possible, what's the average EPC of a user in CPALEAD? I know every user haves different type of traffic, but there's for sure an average value :)

It would be cool instead of the lottery pubs could do a slot machine, play using their own funds. Since you guys are in Vegas and all ;)

Hi Pr0ject, we've been very stable. A lot of the changes that networks announce don't impact us the same way. The short story there is that we've seen a lot of odd e-mails go out to users about how there are changes in the "marketplace". When in fact, it was only to that single network sending out the e-mail and they wanted to label it a "marketplace" issue so that they wouldn't lose users.

A perfect example is the loss of offers in Australia about 8 months ago. While the other networks lost the majority of their offers, CPAlead users were never impacted. The story was then spread that "everyone" lost their offers. The networks know exactly what happened though and why they lost them. I actually drew attention to the matter during an interview since I feel its misleading to tell users that something is industry wide every time you have an issue. I understand why networks do that and I realize that nobody wants to lose business but it is dishonest and not the right way to do things.

As it pertains to the average EPC. It depends on where you're focusing your traffic at the very least.

I know you're looking for a blanket answer but I prefer to be very honest and accurate. For example, you could have traffic that is 100% focused in India and I could quote you the average EPC network wide which incorporates stats from the U.S.A, France, Germany, Australia and so many other countries that would pull the average up dramatically.

That wouldn't be fair since I would be giving you a number much higher than what you should be able to reasonably expect for Indian traffic. Conversely, you could be primarily focused in the USA or France and quoting the network average would include countries like India, Somalia, Qatar, Iraq, Kenya and others which would impact the average quite a bit since EPC's are lower.

In the end, I really would rather give you accurate information. Its your traffic and your hard work here so I think having accurate and honest projections are important. Keep in mind, traffic quality is the largest factor in determining the EPC as well but I can try to make some assumptions. If you're more comfortable, shoot me a PM with specifics on your promotions and I can give you a good idea.

Sorry for the longer reply but with CPAlead and myself, its much more important to be honest and build a long term successful relationship than it is to throw out some big (unrealistic) numbers so that we can get you on the network.

Hope that helps!

Will give it a try.

Thanks CinderellaMan, if there's anything that I or anyone at CPAlead can do to help, please let us know :)
