OK! So I'm trying my best to get back into selling on eBay like the majority of us on here. I downloaded the eBay stealth guidebook and am on my way on getting a stealth account. Unfortunately, I cannot get past the roadblock of acquiring a new IP address despite countless hours doing research or being in conversation with the ISP. GRRR!!!

I'm so frustrated!

How did you guys accomplish doing this in 2014?

Any advice is great. THANKS

I use my iPhone to tether. If you have data, you can tether if you have a tethering add-on or if you have jail broken your phone and installed an app like MyWi. Or you you can use a USB hotspot. Here's some advice. Don't use user accounts. They don't work. I have numerous accounts which have been suspended for being on the same OS, with different users. Install Windows or Linux on a USB or partition your hard drive and install on that.

Verizon wireless has the largest IP pool. Get a Verizon mifi device (JetPack). Everytime you cycle it on/off you will get a new IP.

You can also do what the guy above said and tether your iPhone - same concept - turn airplane mode on/off and it will prodice a new IP.

Just be careful and keep track of the IP's that you are using. Some carriers do not have large IP pools and you might get stuck with the same 5 or 10 IP's constantly rotating.

Verizon is the best for tethering. If I was in US, i would use verizon. Up here in canada, I use rogers. Hotspot is better than iPhone because they can't track most things on hotspot.

To add to what he said about the tracking - get a prepaid Hotspot or phone for tethering if you are worried about anyone "tracking" you.

Use either Firefox or Chrome.

Then go to setting/options and choose connectivity.

Run your browser through a proxy and port (get these from a list, however some may be blacklisted already which is an issue).

Alternatively you could download a VPN and use that.

I used to use a premium VPN but it had a monthly fee. There are free VPN's out there, but they can be low quality.

VPN's don't work well no more. eBay/PP can see through a proxy and detect a VPN.

I am lost too. I was dumb enough to buy that guide as well. I have read so many different ways to restart my selling on ebay again that I don't know which way to turn. I lost my ebay account after selling for 3 years. I was rated low stars for shipping. Everything that I worked for was gone. Now, I don't know how to start back up. I am just a single mom selling random stuff to keep a float. Can you steer me in the right direction. Is it so complicated? I just don't have the $ to buy accounts, etc. Please help! Did you ever figure it out?

Why was it dumb to buy that guide? To be honest, that guide is was the first thing that helped me make (BIG) money online.

Usually now days it seems like ebay doesnt even check ip anymore because when i get banned I just create a new account on same ip and im able to sell again for awhile until i do something wrong

if you are using a router it's much easier. just go to the router setting and change the last digit of the mac address.

All you need to do is mac filter your mac address in your modem/router and then reset the modem/router.

Doesn't ebay pick up on a new ip each time you log in?

This does not matter. If you are accessing eBay on a phone, wireless hotspot or dial up - your IP will change every time. As long as you keep a personal log of what IP's you have used with which account you wil not have any issues. I did it for years and had no problems.

if you keep turning on and off your modem you will get a new ip sooner or later

Digging up an old thread.

Anyone know how to do that remotely on a jailbroken iphone 6 for automation purposes?
