Domain Authority dropped by 4 points in 1 week

Hi guys,

Last week when I was checking one of my sites DA, it was 22. I've just checked this morning and it is just 18. No idea what has caused this drop.

Is there anyway I can check the historical DA of my site?

Also, any ideas what could have caused this sudden drop? My rankings are unaffected...

Do you plan on selling links from the site? If not, and your rankings are unaffected, why should you even care if the metrics from a third party site dropped? Moz is not Google.

Yes, it is the loss of links. Lost a load and DA went down a similar number. Don't worry about it.
Or build some new high quality links.

Da is all about spammy comment links, just spam the fuck out of your domain and your DA will go high DA metrics are fucked up, one of the members here will write a report about it (I hope to read it soon). MOZ is fucked up and SEO community should know the truth, DA metrics can be gamed easier than PR.

Your domain probably lost few high DA backlinks which is pretty normal. Build few comment links from high DA domains and it should jump back in the next update(Mid April).

Moz and DA are the biggest joke in SEO.

I have a site with nothing but the strongest REAL and natural links - that tanked....and I have a site I'm blasting with pure shit and it is through the roof.

DA is a useless metric made specifically for the people on inbound to talk about while they jerk off. Seriously, DA is useless. They only people that care about it are "inbound experts" that sell links based off the number.

Blast a domain with fiverr crap and watch your DA sore.

I could start a company today and say "new metric" - and this new metric is the new number we must all follow. It is called Domain Boner (DB) - hopefully everyone focuses on being good inbound marketers and gets domain boners 80+ - because that is the future.

Agreed with everyone above, DA is long gone. If you want to look at anything use Majestic TF & CF. PR can still be a good factor especially if its 0.

I've checked Ahrefs and Majestic SEO (I don't have paid access) and i've not lost any , what looks to be 'high quality links'. I have however removed a link from my forum signature, at the request of the board admin, probably around a week ago, maybe 10 days ago. However I believe this was a nofollow link, so wouldn't have impacted my DA.
