About bank bank transfer !!!

I know it's it's not the right place to share this wonder, But i did't find place talking about this thing!


Now my question that:If somebody will send me some (dollars) by wire transfer in my TL(Turkish Lira)account is that ok or shall i make USD account ?


maybe it's it's weird question but it's too important !

It depends on your bank account. There are multicurrency accounts that will retain the source currency, whilst most single currency accounts will convert to your local currency.
So ask your bank!

Its usually automatically converted, but best to check with your local bank.

Yes, most banks will automatically convert the funds in to your currency, what you should be more concerned about is the fee (Or fees) you'll be charged from your banking institution.

Your bank will love to convert it to your currency. They get some cut off per dollar for that unless you people are having a parallel banking system or something lol. Your particular banking branch needs to have a forex dept though. Go and ask first before dropping it.

EDIT: for transfer, you don't need to ask anyone. You will receive your money in your currency.

When he will send it to you, it goes to an intermediary bank always in case of International Wires and that bank will automatically convert it. You don't have to worry about anything. Keep it simple silly!

i think if you get paid in local currency, the payment you get will be converted at a lower rate then on a market rate. Therefore open a foreign currency account and get paid via that one(if opening a foreign currency account is cheap and easy only then)
