Presell Tips Needed!

Hey Guys,

I've seen decent conversions for my Clickbank promotions - but I'm still frustratingly close to breaking through that much coveted $100 per day ceiling.

Background: This is the method I use:

User:Blatant Buyer KW Searches > Google > My Websites > Emotional Presell > $$$ales

I wanted to ask a few veterans here - what are the elements of a great presell article? I've read a few books here and there and I try to make the author of the article as "relatable-to" as possible. What are a few key elements that will help me get 1 sale in 10 hops or so, instead of the 1 in 100 I am looking at just now?

You want to press the potential buyer's emotional buttons using either a personal and moving (true) story of a real customer who successfully used the program, or do your own personal review while stating both the positive and negative elements alongside offering your own exclusive limited time bonus for anyone who buys from your own link (or emphasizing the scarcity of the price, offer etc.).

Tip: review websites that include some negative aspects on the product sell much better than reviews that are 100% positive as they will look less like a blatant advertisement. You can say things such as: cons - you will need to spend x amount of time daily on this, the ebook contains a lot of information which may be overwhelming etc...

I would also like to add that the negative points should be:

1) Real

2) Relevant

3) Fewer than the positive points

4) Won't interfere with the buyer's decision (this is where creativity comes to play)

With the negative points, it's basically the same scenario as when you go for an interview and they ask you what are your weaknesses. Good answers would be things such as I'm a perfectionist and may spend more time than I should on a task, I tend to be too critical of my own work, etc...
Basically, the negative points are actually positive ones but camouflaged as negative.

and alike can be smelled miles away by anyone with a brain.

lol that was just a simple example for the OP to understand what I was trying to say! And I wouldn't call them a "trick" at all. Being a perfectionist and the like IS a real and relevant negative aspect (as one has to be practical too); yet at the same time they are positive as it shows one is serious about his work...

What I meant was that trying to cover up negative points with positive scents
can be tracked by most prospects (as well as by employers conducting an interview), and can be interpreted as dishonesty.

Again, state real negative points and mean it and it would be worth your while,
conversion wise.

Mike, seems like we're saying the same thing then; not sure why you disagreed with the examples I gave above. Can you give us a relevant example, for e.g. a negative point for a review about an ebook?

the information can be challenging to some who are looking to cut corners.

That actually sounds identical to what I said in my first reply:

Not at all. Saying it has lots of information is actually a positive point disguised
as a con and can be spotted easily. It all comes down to psychology when selling
stuff especially as a middle guy who is not trusted by default.

Exactly what I've been saying all along - at the end of the day, it all boils down to whether a review looks like an advertisement or an honest piece by a user. Obviously, the latter will always win, conversion-wise.

And that is why you need to use authentic negative points when preselling an offer
even if your instincts tell you otherwise. It's like the Vertigo effect only in the marketing field.

Another minor point but I don't see it done as frequently as it should so here goes: make sure the person writing the review is from the same demographic as the target audience. For example, if your target audience are italian males, a name such as Giovanni Rossi is much more relatable than Mary Smith.

And while we mention pen names, make sure you use the right disclaimer and
choose believable names and surnames.
