Just how do i do backlinks

I've been trying to add backlinks to my gaming site i even went to edu forums and inserted my website url 2to 3 edu forums and i even went to blogs and commentented with my blog url and the backlinks are still not showing at my blog. The way to make backlinks is it not by going to blogs and comment with your blog url site with starts with http and this://.... So why do they not show i even have seoquake plugin for firefox which checks pagerank of blogs and go and comment on page rank3 to9 blogs and still backlinks are not showing when i use ahrefs to check the amount of backlinks i have just what did i miss here or am i doing it wrong if so then how are backlinks done is it done by making a comment on a blog with your site url showing?

It generally takes some time to get those pages indexed where you placed your links. So, just wait for a while or ping them to get them indexed quickly and after that you will start to see them in ahrefs and other backlink checking programs.

You can read around the forum for some idea on how it works. You could alternatively buy backlinks as well.

IMO forums are a bad place to start.

What keyword are you trying to rank for (if any)? If you're not targeting a keyword, you'll only show up for your gaming blogs brand (the site name).

URL won't help you to appear for keywords. Do you actually know how to leave a link to your gaming site as targeted anchor text?

Try to focus on trustworthy sites...forget PR for now.

Do you know the difference between do-follow and no-follow links? If you don't, now's a good time to find out the difference.

The main thing I see wrong here is that you're using your site URL and not ranking for your brand/keyword/s. Also, when did you start this? Today? If you started today...be patient, it'll take some time for G to find your site - make sure your on page SEO is good and they'll find you!

I think it's important for you to understand where you're commenting first, before you understand how get a good do-follow comment.

Do you have any particular reason for targeting blog comments?

Anyway to answer your question:

Your URL = standard :// yourwebsite goes here.
Targeted URL = gaming blog

If 'gaming blog' was a link, when you click on it, it would take you to your domain...I believe that's what you want.

collect all your backlinks and throw them in pingfarm.com and then check again after a day or two. Just a test. I got some success. Not 100% but better than just sitting back.

Buddy I will recommend for you to read more about SEO. It seems you are missing the part were it says it does not happen over night.

Sometimes backlink checkers can't find every single link there is to your website. If you have made the link, and then double checked that it goes back to your site properly, then just move on! Quit worrying about all these pointless stuff. Even if the backlink you have made showed up immediately in ahrefs, but the next month the site goes down, what are you going to do ? Of course you would just move on and make more backlinks instead of crying.

Your posting no-follow links and probably they are wrong and look like spam mostly, apart from that I would start with dictionary submitting, social linking and other campaigns rather than starting out with .EDU forums.

The backlink checkers takes a while to see all the links you've created. And in most cases, only a fraction of the links will be seen.

well, in the middle of me building another tier of backlinks with gsa ser & the usual link tool suspects i thought to myself "these tool are built ass backwards. instead of me scraping targets to build links to, these tools should be making targets build links to me." so basically, i think im gonna need LOTS and LOTS of fresh content like i couldnt even begin to imagine to really start building back links.
