Open-Source like/follower generating platform

Someone needs to create a platform in which individuals can run their own like/follower network and the project leader runs a centralized point system so that as sites die & get created there is consistency.

I could probably spend more than 5 minutes writing this, but I'd like to get the idea out there and hear other opinions.

I'm starting to get annoyed jumping from addmefast, YLH, linkcollider, enhanceviews, socialmediaexchange, etc etc.


We need to start capitalizing on ruining Facebook, Twitter, & Youtube on a much larger scale. Amirite?

What's stopping the centralized point system from dying?

They would manage the points and provide the platform, yet not run the platform on their domain/infrastructure that generates the likes/followers.

The management system would only verify that actions such as liking are not faked by 3rd party individuals running the platform

I like the idea, let's take a more realistic approach though:

Are you speaking of a webapp platform where guys can make a custom tool that uses this api? The problem is the server's api would get banned.

The best you could do is make a crawler/scraper platform.

Another issue is there are so many different needs, i.e. making auto-posts to wordpress forms are a lot different then scraping emails from facebook, or liking a youtube video..

IM is very ecclectic, that's why organicly there are many different variants of tools existing, because that is what the nature of IM has dictated, you could do a platform | framework for a specific task though, 1 HTTP POST platform 1 JS clickjacking platform... yes I agree on the domination that could be done if a small team of scripting gurus could aggregate human capital...

It's more of, the main project holders have an API that the liking platforms connect to.

The platforms are open-source, the API is managed by the project holders.

The project holders manage the open source platform, but only to deliver it to 3rd parties to generate communities that use their API.


Couldn't the infrastructure be offshore in some shady country and not be touched?

and the api would be hosted on a server that would get blacklisted swiftly, so no go here... It would have to be a framework you could download that you can use from localhost...

tldr, it would have to be able to migrate, making an api wouldn't have this capability, a framework that just needs simple configuration would work though..

Problem is that it might last a few months but these companies could easily band together and issue a class action to take anything down, no matter if it's opensource or not if you're making money off it they can take some hard action. And if you're not making money off it then what's the point.

The api wouldn't be the address hitting the fb/tw/ytb servers. That would have to be randomized.

The api only connects the platforms to the main hub where the point system is fluent throughout the whole "network."

What's the point? You make money by the IM done with the tool, not from the actual tool... the tool would be free, it would be used to generate profits through it's uses..

Yes if you designed it that way you're right the api would be used as processing for the platform but where the plaform was hosted would be the ip hitting the sites, ideally the outgoing ip would support sockets so you could load proxy lists of course

You make money by selling followers to small/big businesses.

-3rd party community platforms
-like sellers


You don't sell points, but you approach businesses as an individual and say "I'm a popular guy, I will make you popular" while they have no idea what is actually generating it. It's like re-selling fiverr gigs to people while marking them up and not letting them know you are just generating likes for them. It's pretty much what everyone does with YLH/Addme/Fiverr.


How could you get a class action against a project that is hosted and managed in a country that laughs in the face of the US legal system?

Sure they could shut down the 3rd party platforms, but it's an open-source project, more will pop-up. If your site is shut down, but your site generated tons of points for the main project, you don't lose progress because the main project holds some kind of credential/verification of the community leader.
