GSA vs. Scrapebox? Which is best for a noob

So, I'm on a really tight budget and I'm tired of buying services because every little bit adds up. Having no job at the moment cause of school. I really can't afford to continue buying services. So I decided to buy my very first tool. However I don't know which one to get? I will mainly be using the tool to rank YT videos in the beginning then I will begin ranking my sites (YT is showing SOME results lately). So which one would be more user friendly to a noob or provides well detailed tutorials?

Also, how many private proxies would you recommend me getting if I will be pumping out around 1k-2k backlinks a month (maybe more if I start a fiverr gig for more money). Also who would you guys recommend me going to, to buy these proxies?

Definitely GSA, you could use just a couple of proxies for that low volume.
you'll need captcha solving capabilities as well though remember.

The 2 softwares are different.

If you need cheap comments for youtube, scrapebox might be enough. Haven't tried to rank a video in the past 6 months.. so can't tell if comment links are enough anymore.
Many think of scrapebox as being that tool that builds comment links. The truth is that scrapebox is so much more than a link builder. A bunch of functions, addons (most free) and an endless possibilities to mix the functions to get what others can't.

Since you mentioned that you need the tool to build backlinks go for GSA. Also you might need some money for captcha service/software.

You should analyze the 2 software features and compare them to your needs.

I think your dilemma is not about the software, but rather about your budget. So take a close look to what you need and see which software can give you the results you are after.

Yes you can, There are many services in the market such as "death by captcha, shanibpo, etc..". But they'll cost you much money, so I'd suggest you to use Captcha Breaker or Captcha Sniper with GSA. These are one time price solutions.

I agree. It really depends on what you wanna achieve.

Personally, I would go for ScrapeBox: this tool is must for every serious webmaster, expecially for quick scraping of blogs and for PR checking (very important feature when you put your feet into the SEO arena for the first time).

Buy both! If you really don't have larger budget, buy GSA SER, but the URL scraping feature of SB is better.

I would use GSA, if you want a really good tutorial Matthew Woodward has an excellent one you can find it either on his site or his youtube channel.

I would say go for GSA but again, it may not be enough on its own, consider costs of captchas, proxies, vps server etc as well.

Both tools are different, even both tools share some of the functions or for example GSA kinda copied the harvester from SB.

Get GSA and the indexer for an additional $20. For proxies you don't need the most expensive, but GSA have a public proxy tool in case you interested in the free. Now you have to remember free is not always the best, so buy using public proxies your success rate can be low.

You will need captcha solving, ImageTyperz is the cheapets and DethByCaptcha.

For the content, get WordAI and you will be set to pump 10k back-links easily a month with no pressure and minimum cost.

I would also go for GSA strictly as a link building tool. Scrabebox is more geared for other general internet marketing stuff and not solely for link building (though I highly recommend you buy it if you want to operate in this space).

Here's what you need:

1. GSA SER
2. Captcha Breaker (for solving captchas)
3. About 10 dedicated proxies (check out http://www.sslprivateproxy.com/. They were the cheapest I found)
4. A VPS (check out Host Stage).
5. Mathew Woodward's Video tutorial on tiered link building with GSA.
6. And some time and patience

Like others have said, they are different. Lately I have been opting to use GSA and Gscraper, but there is still a place for SB. If I was starting out again, I would still make sure I learn SB because of it's huge array of applications.
