hy so i wanted to buy a domain and as i searched i found that marketdesign.info is avaliable... but there is a company that has market-design.com... is it wise to buy such domain???

Personally I dont like .info.

But you can always to to sell the domain to the .com one.

The company that owns marketdesign.com also owns market-design.com but it is just a small company. Marketdesign.net, .org and even .biz exist but they are parked domains which is how the .info could end up. Do not buy it unless you have a good use for it and can get traffic

If you just want to set up a site for cheap, .info costing only $1.99 at Godaddy and is an option.

However if your intention is to resell the name, .info is a bad choice because people don't want to pay much for it.

In general, always try to go for a .com even if it means a longer name or less popular term.

Agreed..always try for a .com if you are setting up a website that is not a quick blog or you may want to resell.

For me it gives you worldwide credibility and opens up more markets to you

i don't worry if the main websites are just parked and not used. In that case .info can be useful for a blog or landing page if it includes a keyword you want to target.
