Ebay keeps taking down auctions - am I being flagged?

What is the deal? I listed some new computers & they got removed within 5 minutes. They took it down & said my account had been compromised & that I had to do a phone verification to get it unlocked. So I did the phone verification & then re-posted the listing, with not as many items, & it was removed as well. In the email it says:

"Unfortunately, we had to remove your listing because the following information violates our policy:"

But then it does not say what the reason is, it's just blank.

Do you think a competitor is flagging my listings, or is it just because they are brand new expensive computers? I have more items to list, but don't want to keep getting listings removed.

I have over 100 feedback points, the account is over 7 years old, & I have 100% positive feedback. All legitimate.

With the account having over 100 feedback something else is causing the auctions to be taken down. More than likely you have a stalker that is reporting your auctions for some reason.

listing specific name brand or such that the company might have a deal to not list?

big companies like to buy off ebay and let safeharbor deal with them. Thats how all this knockoff handbag stuff started, and safe harbor takes care of them.

i would contact ebay by email or by phone and ask them what is going on and why you cannot list the items. surely they have to provide you with some type of explanation of why this is happening.

I've sent ebay so many emails and they never respond. My account was suspended, I was selling fake tennis racquets but no one even received one to even report me.

I've not had much luck with contacting ebay in the past. I'm gong to assume it is a brand name thing. I see some others for sale, but usually only 1 at a time, so it may be a brand & quantity thing. I'll list some other items in the next couple of days to test out that theory. It sucks when things are not as smooth as you expect.

I would try out much slower, dont list several thousand dollars worth of computers all the sudden unless you have some feedback from high dollar items. It could really be several things.
Try taking photos of the computers with some paper with your ebay username written on it and have those in your auction. Otherwise yeah if ebay is cancelling them and you sell legit items you shoud contact Ebay.


@mcad0388: Did you use photographs from fake tennis racket supplier? If so they might have those pics flagged or have seen them on the fake site.

Don't flood your own market. List them one a week or every few days etc. MAybe a brand thing or competitor as some of these assholes spend more time getting others stuff taken down than making their own paper.

By any chance did you post any questions or involved in any conversations on one of the ebay message boards w/ your seller id? Nothing but haters on there.

I say screw egay since it's new computers and go amazon or craigslist along w/ some local newspaper online classifieds.

I wonder what sets off the red flag for high ticket items... $500... $1000, or more than 2 quantity. I guess I'm better off with cheaper items, but I wonder how cheap.

That is what makes ebay so gay is because it is impossible to figure them out sometimes.

yea i was too lazy to get a different picture, a girl got her uggs and emailed ebay that I wasn't a scammer. Someone just receieved the tennis racquets today I'm not sure if they are happy or not. The packages have no Chinese writing on them, so it looks like they came from me.

I have about $300 stuck in my limitted paypal account is there any way I will be able to get this money if none of my buyers dispute?

if you had photos of your fake racquets, that might have tipped them off....

remove photos if you can. also make it sound like you're selling your own racquets because many companies disapprove of retailers selling their items on ebay...

I was selling some designer cosmetics last year and was restricted on the numbers I could sell. I just got a warning when I tried to list saying that I had exceeded my allowance and couldn't list again for another 30 days.

These were fairly low cost items in comparison to computers.

Have you tried just listing one item?

As an earlier poster said, the secret is not to flood the market but to increase the competition for your item...it's called supply and demand!!

Oh, also remembered the VERO thing (Verified Rights Owner Programme).

If it's a registered trademark or name then that could be your problem.

if you are including any software on these computers, it could be flagged if ebay thinks they are ripped copies. i once had that happen selling old commodore 64 stuff with some burned disks and some storebought disks, which is exactly i had bought the lot off someone at a yard sale. they wouldn't allow the auction for that reason.
