I'm new, hello everyone!

Anyway,

I've done linkwheels, conservative senuke rants, etc, and I'm yet to see any of those backlinks register under any of the major search engines? It's especially perplexing with the linkwheel. I've submitted/posted original content with embedded links to various sites such as blogsome over 2 weeks ago and I haven't seen one backlink registered on any SE's. Yet I've contacted various sites within my niche and gotten a backlink from them and it shows up within a day or two.

What are your opinions on how long it takes for backlinks to register?

Thanks in advance

JBG

PS. I'm a little peeved at the avatar selection here and how there's spiderman but no batman (happens to be my middle name) :)

Interesting because so far I'm yet to see a backlink from a linkwheel indexed by any of the SE's, however I am seeing some small referral traffic from the linkwheel properties in awstats

theres nothing magic about the linkwheel. from what i am told, it just strengthens the web 2.0 pages u created, which directs traffic to you.

having said that, i am surprised i am getting descent spots for specific keywords. very low volume, but its the right keyword for me for ppl buying shit.

dont expect anything big to happen cuz everyone is doing it now. lol

Yea it seems for it to work the creativity level of it will have to be upped...

Can I get your opinion doridori, my niche is cigars, if you were to use a linkwheel, which specific/long-tail keywords would you go after?

I'm sorry if I'm being the nagging FNG but I've been literally banging my head lately trying to produce even the slightest increase in traffic/ranking for my site.

Anything helps at this point.

FNG..... I haven't heard that in awhile!

Are you sure that the sites in your linkwheel are indexed?

I believe so? I would be lying if I said I was positive though.

I can configure a Catalyst 3500 faster than Tiger can eagle a hole yet I can't seem to grasp my head around some of this SEO stuff ha. Maybe I'm just trigger happy and need to wait a couple weeks before judging my attempts..

When I first read about the linkwheel concept and how well people were getting results I started to write an automation app (similar to Senukes), would this even be beneficial to the community anymore? It seems the linkwheel concept is fading? Anyone had good results from it and if you have can you explain how it helped you?

Alright I just did a new linkwheel, targeting some extremely low traffic keywords, on blogspot, blogsome, tumblr, and a few other big name spots so we'll see if I can't get at least one of those sites to get indexed by the SE's

Its a million dollar question that one, you'll find that all sites seem to get ranked at differing speeds.

However rather than this be a problem it can work in your favour...as the delay will make the links build more naturally and not cause spikes that could alert G to some unnatural goings on
