Debit Card Worked With Paypal India

I Had issues with my paypal with vcc from hdfc in the past .
I tried to use my HDFC VISA debit card but i was unable to add it and later i used vcc and account got screw then limited for 6 months and then i closed the account.
After almost a year i made a new paypal account and this time i Tried adding my HDFC Platinium Debit Card (Mastercard) From HDFC and this time it worked.Platinum card charged around 500rs/year and its free for first month so i think people having issues with hdfc debit card with paypal can use this method if they can't get a credit card.
I hope it helps someone who were having issues with hdfc in past.

Great..I have ICICI Coral debit card.. they also charging 500Rs/Year. Let me try with it.
 
Was it because the debit card is using a different payment processor network?
 
:( I tried the same a few days ago, didn't work for me.

P.S> I too have HDFC Platinum Card

Indian Paypal Account works with ICICI Debit Card only. No need any coral ICICI Debit Card, Normal Debit card allow on paypal. I dont know some other card is work or not. I used ICICI only.
 
Well i used my old visa easyshop card that we usually get without any charges when we open an account is hdfc it worked well with worldpay but i was unable to attach.Since i made few international transactions with my debit card then send me an hdfc platinum mastercard for international shopping and it even has a pin system so when i use it for shopping i have to enter pin before completing the transactions on shops and when i made international transaction with my new mastercard as soon as i completed the transaction i got a call from hdfc chennai to confirm if i made the transaction.

ICICI normal card does work with paypal even some axis bank card works with paypal.
 
my ICICI debit card wont work with paypal
paypal was the only reason i have open an ICICI account in 15k INR :|

Call to their customer care ask them to varify the VISA and tell them to permit the card for international transaction . One of my friend has similar problem with the icici card but when they allowed the card for international transaction . hope this helps .

just called their customer care department and they said they will approve my card for international payments in next 24 hours.
