Using popular imgur's to build links

So I have found a number of imgur's with a PR of 5 or above, with no keywords besides imgur's meta tags. If I were to drop my link in on these, would this help, or hurt my SEO?

It would obviously help, but try to use a url shorterner instead of pointing the links direct to your money site, so you could benefit from its 301 power.

yeah, it looks like there is a nofollow on the image anyways. That means that it doesn't help my pagerank, correct?

I just read some stuff from the 301 redirects. So if I use a URL shortener, will it make any difference I use goo.gl vs bit.ly ? Which one of those will give more result?

This sounds interesting, I will deep in when I have some time and update what resulted for me.
