I didnt. In my experience, i have run the install in my pc and my kaspersky didnt found any threat. However, I've read somewhere here in the forum that it could happen.

The installer has Adware in it and is flagged by many Anti-Malware security programs.
Just hope that the user doesn't mind that(if his PC detects it) and still continues with the install.Or you'd be losing a lot of revenue there..

When you include the link in YT to your installer, are you using the same link every time, or are you using something to change it with each upload? I'm guessing bitly's API could be used to do this for each upload if you just pass a random value to the underlying link so that the bitly URL changes each time, or you could create one bitly URL and just pass it random, useless variables. Might even be worth trying to use Google's cache to serve the page once you get it spidered and cached, and you could even pass random values there, too. (I.e., the link in your YT video description would be like this http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:blackhatworld.com&somerandomthing=kshk4hrishr ).

I have tried using multiple bitly links and it isn't a good choice for mass uploading. Many links get flagged, so you WILL use traffic. My suggestion is setting up a custom url shortener with a small simple domain. You have complete control on the links, you can edit them, check stats, and they will never get flagged.

Interesting. So, you're saying it's the YT users that get the videos/accounts banned because they see a bitly URL and start flagging? I would have expected the custom domain to see similar trouble, figuring that a new domain suddenly appearing with links on a mass of YT videos would be an easy pattern for G's automation to spot. That's what made me think of using G's own cache.
DarkPixel is saying that Bitly will flag your links, not YT. Bitly will see the name of the file that you're redirecting traffic too, find that it "may" or "may not" infringe on copyright and then flag that url. So if you used that Bitly URL on say 100 videos and they remove it ... your videos are essentially useless unless you can go in and edit each URL.

Ah, ok. Good to know that about bitly. I didn't realize they're so sensitive outside of things that are blatantly malicious or infringing. I was thinking of it from a keep-the-videos-up-in-yt angle. With or without bitly, sending things through your own redirect early in the path, or right away in the case of your own shortner, is a given. Even the suggestion of using G's cache assumed that it would hold a redirect or something functionally equivalent (meta, js, iframe.)

I do use multiple bitly links and i never had a single one flagged. However, having costume shortened links is the way, you have way better control.
You have the installs in your own server, right? Better thing to do is having costume links. Though, if you want, you can mask your files with some script - you have a guy explaining it somewhere in the forum.

No. I upload to Mediafire. I think Mediafire causes the warning message.
