Strategies for Deleted Domains

What is the best/preferred strategy for putting a deleted domain to work for links to more than one site?

If the wayback machine shows some or all of the content that the best links to the deleted domain point to, is it worth scraping the wayback machine and reconstructing the site then adding additional content?

Alternatively, is the preferred method to start with a clean WP installation, build your own content and redirect all the old links to the homepage/domain name?

Are there any other approaches?

You can reuse the content found on wayback. But, make sure that the archived content did not present on google index.

There are plenty of people with plenty of experience proving that the expired domain techniques still work well.Happily ,i am one among them.when i started it for first time,there was no PR.Page rank got updated within the first month itself.you would need to reconstruct those pages,which had PR or divert all links to homepage with 301 redirection.

recreate all the PR pages which are NOT indexed on google
And install the free 404 redirect plugin for wordpress, this will redirect all the error pages to the home page along with the PR and link juice
adding some content on your own helps aswell

search some snippets of the content to see if its indexed in google. You don't want be reconstructing pages of content that are already on the web.

True, you can use the content as long as its not indexed by Google. And if has been recently de-indexed, wait for a while before posting it right away on another website of yours.

I won't reconstruct the page,as it was.Just to save myself from any copyright issues.I will be more cautious to avoid broken link issues.So will be creating pages with the same exact name as in past. I would suggest that you go on wayback time machine and rebuilt the site structure as the old site.
