UGH... Its me again...

A new negative SEO attack crippled my organic web search traffic from Google AGAIN. This time the attacker took a toxic website with toxic backlinks and pointed the DNS for the domain to my website. In addition to taking an instant hit to organic traffic my webmaster tools logs are flooded with thousands of bogus crawl errors. Because the toxic website's URL paths don't exist on my websites.

We are redirecting that domain somewhere else now but the damage is already done and they can simply keep doing it with other domain names.

Why google lumps off-site and on-site crawl errors together... I have no idea... Seems like lazy development and poorly thought out design. Why they even let this kind of negative association work is beyond me...

@Google ... don't you realize that your anti-spam penalties are being used as negative SEO attack vectors? Do you account for that at all in your planning and design?

What do you mean pointed the DNS to your website? Did they 301 it to your domain?

At first we thought they changed their DNS host entry to our IP... it appears now that they are 301 redirecting their whole site to ours... can I disavow them since redirects are supposed to be treated like links?
