Basically what Veyron said will happen. If your expecting a good amount of money the best thing to do is send the buyer a letter which he has to sign for. I know It will take longer, but It's safer and he'll have a hard time putting up a dispute because you'll have proof of him receiving something.

The PayPal dispute resolution system is prejudiced and will usually take the side of the buyer (at the seller's expense). This is because PayPal are covering themselves against the possibility that the buyer will file a credit card dispute. PayPal looks after themselves first and sellers are second.

When doing business online, PayPal is often a necessary evil. If you use PayPal, you are most likely going to lose some money eventually and you will most certainly lose your time arguing vexatious and sometimes fraudulent buyer disputes.

PayPal terms and conditions even prevent you from suing PayPal in any event!

The loss of your time and money needs to be factored into your costings as part of doing business online. It may be unfair, but it s the way things are.

People have often criticized me for the mention of making stealth accounts and forging documents as part of PayPal verification.

Take some friendly advice... when dealing with PayPal, you must either be willing to be a thief or a fraud. If you are not, you will be robbed or defrauded. You must either be a victim or a perpetrator (or both!).

I'm not saying you should rip people off. What I'm saying is if you want to get on even footing with PayPal, you need to break the rules.

open 5 new accounts. send him few random amounts below $1. and then file disputes from every account a few days later (item no received)

Can be a smart move! I will do it with scammers I met recently. I usually just refund their money as I dont want to get my paypal limited for just a small amount of dispute money.

I too got my original paypal paypal limited, and I decided to dick the call representative of paypal, but unfortunately, a girl picked my call !

My first PayPal was suspended because "I may have been a security issue". Since then I had nothing but grief off them, with the dirty parasites holding large amounts of money quite simply, as I was told by PayPal "Because We Can". I have had many accounts suspended for no other reason other than because they relate to my first banned account, which was banned for no reason. What I find strange is that my PayPal account has now been active for several years. However this PayPal account has one very big difference compared to my other banned accounts. It is not my name, it is not my address, it is not my date of birth, it is not my post code, no the big difference is I have never been stupid enough to put a single penny in this account. I use it simply for paying people. You see PayPal only hold people money because they are thieves, and no other reason. I am quite sure if I transferred 20k to that account now, that account would be banned, and all part of the PayPal big money churning interest robbing game.

Same thing happened to me, I made at least 10 accounts after one by one, all gone, I am not using Paypal anymore. They are okay if you use Paypal only for paying, if you sale anything or receive any money they will start investigating and ban your account.

This extreme buyer protection is an absolute joke. Been selling on ebay for a year now and i am baffled at how easy it is to buy something and just claim that you didn't receive it.

If you want to get screwd even more go to paypal and make a private sale and have the buyer send money to you via friends/family instead of goods & services. All they have to do is is attempt a chargeback and they will very likely get their money back.

Happens with PS and xbox games very often. I offer returns on all my item and always will to try and maximise my sales.

There are buyers out there that know the paypal system and will buy games of me and play it for 2-4 days and demand a refund or return for all sorts of stupid reasons and all you can do is just cater to them.

There should be a feedback system where sellers can single out these sorts of buyers. This current feedback system is basically for buyers only.

2co is a very good alternative. They accept paypal for you, I am currently trying to go through their approval service but they ask for so much id and proof; 2 utility bills, copy of my driving license and passport and some more. I only found out recently that 2co accepts paypal for you. Its such a shame about the approval process otherwise they would monopolise very quickly.
