Directly spamming your site isn't too bad either. This one was created a week ago, and just showed up in the serps yesterday. According to my experience this site will only continue rising.
I have also tried spamming a shortened url to my site, but I also met the obstacle of not getting much higher than #10-15, but I'll try your way soon. There is nothing wrong with trying what other people are doing with success, it might just work for you and your niche as well.

Hi MisterTwister,
The sites are hosted by other Webmasters so you cannot delete them i'm afraid. You can have more control by sending the 301 Nuke URL's to HQ Tier 1 sites though. This way you can remove the link if you need to.
Sometimes it'll take me a week to reach top5 and other times it will take weeks. It really depends on a lot of different factors.
Competition is something that is really subjective to judge. I'd probably say the keyword I posted is in the lower end of medium. However another person could judge the competition to high and another could say it's easy to medium.. I really can't give a good answer to anyone but myself when it comes to competition. I just know what I am looking for and that's it.
But really, just go for it and see what happens. Just pick a keyword that is not too difficult at first and give it a fair amount of time, you should not worry what results other people are seeing.
I only had about 2k but it will be different for you
same keywords and anchor for both, experiment to find the best !

On step 3, do you send the links straight to the website or do you use again a tinyurl? If so, do you use a new tinyurl or the same one|?

1. That's not a question. But yeah, just index all your links as fast as possible.
2. There's a widely shared rule of thumb which says 10 threads per proxy. This is not true in everyone's case, but it's a good start point and from there you will be able to increase or decrease your amount of threads used. Ideally, you want to use as many threads as possible until the speed of SER is not increasing or your system halts you, and you want an appropiate number of proxies to support this amount of threads. Personally I use 1000 threads and 100 private proxies which is working out just fine for me.
