For how many keywords can i rank without much content?

Hello bhw fellows.I was wondering, i have my gf's website (she offers cleaning services in London) and i would like to rank this website for some keywords between 10-200 monthly searches (local)

The problem with this low amount of searches is that i need to rank for 10's of them to get the traffic i need to get things going.The question is...how many of this keywords should i try and rank for?

Also is there anyone here that can rank me #1 for some medium/hard keywords at least for 1 week?

The keywords are about cleaning services in London (Uk) and as you might know that's a very competitive business.I can't go the adwords way cause that will bankrupt me.

All i need is #1 #2 or #3 for some keywords.I don't care how i get there.
If anyone can achieve that for me please get in touch.Or if you can recommend me someone from the market that you have done business in the past please post here.

To directly answer to your question you can rank for as many keywords as you want, sometimes even more that you want.

What I mean is that there is no limits of the number of kw you can rank for, and I say that some times you will rank on even more kw because you can get on first place for some long tail keyword that you didn't targeted.

I have a website that rank for about 7000 long tail keywords, not #1 for all 7000 on some even not on 1 page at the moment but I'm there.

What you should do is to take a step back and see what you will search for if you will be a visitor that have interest in your niche and see witch keyword's worth to try to rank.

A second thing that you must take in consideration is that you are talking about an offline business , what I mean for that is that in some cases the number of monthly searches is not so relevant. I say this because probably "offices cleaning services" have less searches than "home cleaning services" but visitors that come from the first kw can bring you more money than those from the second kw.

Starting to build an authority website will also be good starting point in the war with the big guys.

And one more thing... Another way that can help you to start is to try to do some offline marketing like sells letters.. etc.

Make your site an authority and you will stand a better chance of ranking for 10 to 200 keywords at will. For the medium term keywords you shouldn't expect it to happen overnight like you assumed. SEO is a long term affairs, if you want instanta then use adword ppc. If you want to talk further on ranking on U.K then send me a PM with your keywords and URL for a quote, don't expect it to be cheap either.

Yeah i know it's not something that will happen overnight.The thing is that i only need to stay on 1st page for like a week so my gf could get enough leads to create her costumer base.
When shes all booked i won't be needing it anymore.Hope you guys understand what i'm looking for.
Even if someone would rank me with spam or sape that would be ok.

I don't look on building an authority website.

you need to do some research to see how competitive the keyword is in the serps. if it is as competitive as you say, you may find that it costs as much to use adwords as it does to rank the page via seo.

Yes that's all i need.So my gf can get like 10-15 new clients.Or maybe just 2-3 but good ones.That's why i'm not planning on staying there too long.The competition is really really big.I think the big boys pay around 15-20$ per click in adwords.

All i want is to rank for some words with a smaller amount of searches maybe 70-200 per month.Because they are really targeted (to a few neighborhoods - the high-class ones)

The problem is that the website doesn't have much content on it.Just a small description of the services, a FAQ page, a contact page and a references page.

Should i make a blog page too like with some tips & tricks to be able to put more content?

I don't want to distract the visitor to something else.I want him to just get the number and call!

Yes please make a blog page.. because that's the page you will be updating more frequently. And that's the page where search bots will be spending more time.

Make some Web 2.0s (quality ones with Unique ones), Target 5 - 10 new keywords every month (depending upon the time you can spend on your business)

As this area is very saturated specailly in london there are plenty of big fishes around and they do rank by combination of content and keywords and this is the good way of market any product and service.Regarding your requirement target local area first than expand they keywrods range to cover up whole london.
