Istockreseller is a scam. You don't obtain a legal right to use the photos and can be accused of copyright infringement if using these photos.

What I do is I keep a habit of downloading free images everyweek on sites like ist0ck, shutterst0ck & thinkst0ck. They have a free image everyweek for promotion purpose. I have been doing this for like a year so I have plenty of photos which I can use for different themes of my site. So that would not be considered illegal and is safe to use, isn't it?

Or if you have a way which can find those images which had once be freed to dl, then you can use it if you could find the source, am I right?

Also, downloading and reusing images on your site could be easily traceable, as some of you mentioned that there is an id attached. But how about if I use screenshot? Could I get away with it? I would really like to know how those reverse image engines work.

Thanks.
What's the point of circumventing any copyright protecting means? It makes your copyright infringement even worse when it comes to legal action against you.
Do you want your works to be stolen by others? The photos sold by stock companies are coming from independent photographers so you are ripping them off - not only the "bad" stock companies. Why shouldn't photographers make a living?

Well I think it is a crime since most of istocks photos were grabbed for free and watermarked a long time
ago. So I do not have much for the photo selling community.
This is wrong. The images are from independent photographers which you are ripping off. Using the images without license is just illegal and can lead to legal action against you. Why not pay some dollars and thus support the people who are providing you with high quality imagery. Or do you want your work to be stolen?

i concur with you
Well i use legit stock on our main projects but we do a lot of throw away doorway pages for testing on a daily basis.. say for PPV or something we do stuff like this.

When making campaigns for PPV you throw 10-20 different landing pages and each page requires 2-3 stock pictures. It becomes very expensive to build pages if we start paying for all the images. If something starts converting we buy the stock.. but for experiments this saves quite some $$

Thank you so much ronywilliam, for sharing this little trick you discovered! :-)

I wonder if some people in this thread, who says that (they sell in iStockphoto), do they know what the name of this forum is for?
"Black Hat World".
So, We don't care if they sell in the istockPhoto.

I wonder what are they doing in here?
After all, they don't have the right to criticize and to bully other members posts.

If they are here, I am 100% sure that they are also cheating somewhere else.

So, I ask from the Administrators to throw them out.
Ronywilliam has shared a little secret with us, so everyone must respect him and say Thank you to him and nothing more.

Why go through the trouble of searching for it? Print Screen, MS PAINT, and Voila!

Did this for for 5K, and marathon finish line pictures "for sale." They meant "for free"

Another way of doing this, is to go towebcrawler [DOT] Com
and in the search box write the word istockphoto and a keyword. (Not the id of the image)
For example: istockphoto car, and then click on the word image, of the column on your Left, to bring you the thumbnaills of the pictures.
You can search any other stock website also, with the Webcrawler.

One more trick is to search in "YAHOO IMAGES", I believe the have Better results than Google has.
In the search box write, for example: shutterstock cat, and it will return you many Large images! :-)

Hi,

What if we use stolen iStock or Shutterstock images (without watermaks) for "print projects" (not website) ?

How can they know (if ever they find out the poster) that it's not someone who simply buy it on iStock / Shutterstock ?

Thanks !

this is bogus. either it just shows tiny icons and checkmark icons or gives a "0 images found" this is a bogus fake tutorial that does NOT work
