Got it again, from WMT:

Code:
Unnatural inbound links

Google has detected a pattern of artificial or unnatural links pointing to your site. Buying links or participating in link schemes in order to manipulate PageRank are violations of Google's Webmaster Guidelines.

As a result, Google has applied a manual spam action to domain.co.uk. There may be other actions on your site or parts of your site.

Just checked and the keywords don't seem to have moved much... Yet. But I guess they will drop.

what should I do?

What was your last service that u used? and how long ago did you get the first one?

I had like 5, the only way I bounced back was to do a reconsideration request and submit ALL your links there :) After 6 tried I finally was in the clear (my 5 tries did not include reconsideration request for ALL links) But my 6th one I just said F$@# it, and submitted all my links.

And now slowly bouncing back, but very careful as to what services I order :) lesson learned!

Good luck

I got this once, I told them that I don't know what they're talking about an in 3 weeks they just sent a message where they said that I am not under penalty anymore.

Lmao man! :laugh2:

I tried that last time I got a penalty and it took me about 18 months to recover!
so I'm looking for alternatives.

I was thinking about this, how would I react if this was completely out of the blue...

How come I never get penalized. It's not fair. :D

Give it a week for things to settle, then if this persists, remove some of your "bad backlinks".

Is it a site-wide penalty or partial penalty?

Check in "Search Traffic" > "Manual Actions"?

If it is partial penalty, I suggest you ignore it unless you lose a lot of traffic.

@davids355

What service/type of links were you creating. Please pm me if you don't want to tell publicly.

One of my sites also got manual penalty yesterday. It has 0 direct links. All links are coming via 301 redirect. Surprisingly domains i was building links to, have not got any manual action. I was using sape links on 1 domain. 1 domain has links from some other network and 3rd domain has profile type links that i created long ago.

Just checked in webmaster tools as per your advice.

Found this:

Code:
Google has detected a pattern of unnatural artificial, deceptive, or manipulative links pointing to pages on this site. Some links may be outside of the webmaster's control, so for this incident we are taking targeted action on the unnatural links instead of on the site's ranking as a whole.

Guess its not effecting the site in that case.

As my scottish wife would say: Dancer!
