BitCoin and Cryptocurrencies - Will they fail? My 3 Predictions!

Bitcoin has been a great alternative to paypal and so far I love it for shopping online. As for getting paid I still want my presidents being sent to my bank account haha.

The governement regulation is already being put into effect, but it hasn't been very effective. It's pretty hard
to control a decentralized currency.

This article says a lot: Can't post it nvm..

I would say BTC is a better option then traditional currency, it;s not going to crash when your country is going into a depression and will be much more stable in the long run.

Of course the govs will want a piece of the pie but they will never succeed.
They've been trying for decades to control the web. Did it work ?

Well, almost and the fact most web users are only interested in posting their latest FB update or watching some crap on YT then it might not be long before they do.

Technology Companies getting hacked .. Exchanges or not just shows you .. You deal in this environment you better be up to it.

one of the CEOs committed suicide in singapore as well.

just tells you to protect yourself.

also with this new comcast + time warner deal in the US, that means Comcast provides internet to over 40% of people. Bye bye net neutrality.

Are there any plans to make Gridcoin and Boinc one entity? I got the impression its too complicated to survive on the long run.

It would be better if miners were forced to donate their mining resources to Boinc without the need to install Boinc.
It would be even better if Boinc results were integrated into the public ledger, so that everyone could explore them in the same way you can explore blockchain.
And it would be totally awesome if miners were rewarded for scientific discoveries, but thats just a wet dream. :-)

Those are some good ideas. The dev of Gridcoin is in talks with Berkeley right now on further integration so there will be some interesting developments in the coming weeks.

In the Gridcoin wallet you can pull up the leaderboard and see how much has been donated by project and by which account.

it will fail because people hate liberty and demand to be controled and regulated and people hate privacy they demand that goverment "keep them safe"

Hey everyone.. I'm new to bitcoin trading. I have a lot to learn before I actively start trading. So in the meantime, I wanted to use BitFinex to make some minimal gains via interest while I learn the ropes. I just spent the last few days getting my accoutn verified but still waiting on some money I deposited to clear.

Looks like the current return rates for swap lending is around 0.12-0.13%... I will test this out with about $100 to see what the whole deal is. But if it works out, I'm looking to deposit around $125,000

My question is, does all your money in your account get used up for lending immediately? Or does the system only use part of your money depending on the demand? Still trying to wrap my head around the whole process.

Thanks for any insight.
Cheers.
