CPA Network suing affiliate

Has anyone heard of a CPA network suing an affiliate for fraudulent leads? I have a friend who is being threatened to get sued

I'm sure it could happen. Would probably need to be more than x,xxx for them to justify going through the legal motions.

the amount is x,xxx and my friend isn't in the US. I heard suing overseas can't be done or extremely expensive to do?

Doubtful, probably just threatening, I couldn't see a CPA network going through the trouble for just x,xxx.

If in overseas then it may be very time and $$ consuming for them, so I doubt they will come after him but it also depends upon how much the network is pissed on him or what kind of damage he has done.

Nothing will happen. x,xxx will be spent just going to overseas and hiring a good lawyer.

I'd tell 'em to go F*(* themselves.

In all seriousness it's not cost effective for the company to pursue it. The only way they'd do it is to prove a point to other affiliates by saying, "Hey, if you pull some BS we will come after you".
