I'm almost done writing my first e-book, considering CB, what should I know?

Ending prices with the number 9 is one of the oldest pricing methods in the book.
Well, I am pretty dang old! How about $47.97? lol That's what's so nice about IM, I can take 2 minutes and change the price and test it, which I will. New price...$47.00! Curious though..$47 or $47.00. I'm guessing $47.

$47 is the magic number.

But seriously - you are going to need to hire a professional copywriter which may cost up to $20,000 to write a convincing sales letter.

I'm going to go low investment on this one. As this is my first e-book and clickbank venture, I'm going to do everything myself or get some help from friends.

If I make enough money, I'll use it to reinvest into my next venture where I can hire a copywriter.

Some things I did/doing:

Book will be priced between $27-$47 (with a 50-75% commission to all CB affiliates). I have a lot of content, this isn't your run of the mill bullet-point style ebook or 10 pager. It's a long book, I cover everything, the basics, more advanced stuff, some of my insight, theories, tips, mistakes, etc. I hand-hold on several methods for gigs to sell on Fiverr, where to get suppliers, what keywords to use, etc etc.
I will likely include an audiobook/mp3 to make reading easier.

I will have a video on my site showing my earnings and giving a little background into myself and my ebook, this will hopefully help people convert into a sale when they land on my page.

I think I have a pretty nice design, e-book cover, and e-book page design. Not rushed black on white stuff, I take the time to organize the book into chapters, with headers and footers and all that good stuff. The book is actually formatted, something else I often don't see in ebooks for some reason.

I have a great looking 3D book image for the sales page.

I have a decent sales copy written up. It's okay, this is not my strength but It's pretty good as well as I highlight the features of the book in a quick and easy way to read, as well as include a call to action.

I will be either giving away a free bonus chapter or bonus video to those who sign up to my mailing list on my landing page. Hopefully I can build a list.

This list? I plan to create an online course for Fiverr if I have success with the book, this is my potential upsell to my list.

I may have affiliate links in my ebook. Maybe. This will hopefully counter some of the sales lost through piracy.

I will include some tools for affiliates like banners and whatnot.

I will have review copies but PLEASE DO NOT PM ME YET! Im still about a month away from launch.

Hey dude, I will give you my 2 cents.

If you decide to go with WSO you won't sell much if you dont go for 7$ but I suggest you stay away from WSO for the moment.

If you go with Clickbank I highly suggest 75% comissions on the frond end. Why? I've been an affiliate with clickbank and if it doesnt have 75% i dont even bother looking at it.
About the price as they've said earlier 47$ is key. But hey, do you think people will look at hey i'm getting an ebook for 47$ thats expensive, my solution:

Divide your ebook into 3-5 ebooks Like BONUSES of the main product but its still the SAME ebook but just a bundle of 3-5 ebooks. (that will help you dramatically with conversions, as anybody prefers to pay 47$ for 5 ebooks rather than for 1 ebook, even if the content is the same).

About upsells, you said it already, videos and audios thats the perfect upsell. Also you could offer 50% on upsells in your sales funnel (not sure if with clickbank you can do that).

other point I read here, why bothering about SEO? Let your affiliates fight for the 1rst place of google, they will make YOU money, without you even spending a dime. The tough part is finding the affiliates.

Other upsells you could work on is Q&A webinars or maybe some 1on1 (or group) coaching, and charge BIG.

That's all I could think of right now.

Good luck buddy :)!

Are you asking about a Word to PDF conversion software? Let me know.
Mike.

No, No

I mean when I upload my pdf ebook to the web hosting, what website program can help me manage the visitors download that ebook, Secure Download Links , and so on.

Hey, man! How's the book coming along?

It's being edited. I'm looking to launch it April 12 on Clickbank. Thanks for asking. :D

Even ClickBank's own packages are priced $47 - http://www.clickbank.com/pricing/

I've just launched a FR language offer and its going to be interesting to see if the psychology works the same way
