Do deindexed domains backlinks have any value in google serps, yahoo, bing ?

Exactly right, the search engines that have banned/deindexed the sites will not carry value from.

I can't imagine how they would, given that they're removed from from the index, and therefore, not included in the serp calculation algo.

I wonder how GA would track & display traffic to/from a good-standing site, to/from a de-indexed one.

From my experience , the links and the domains(sometimes specific page) link is coming from , become worthless ...has been happening way too frequently lately ....I am pretty sure , a lot of whitehat sites are killed as collateral damage ...

However, keep in mind that they might have value on Y if G deindexed them - but test that and see. Anyway, I personally wouldn't pay money for them when there are so many wonderful tools that can help you get lots of link quick - and lots of services here on BHW

No at all! If Google has de-indexed one domain..it can only have value from Bing or other search engines which have not de-indexed it yet..

I would have the same conclusion : de-indexed = no juice
But I did never made the test...

Google can be surprising sometimes. For example, if you have a robots.txt and you don't want to index a specific page, Google can even index this page even if it don't crawl this page...

Oh BHW. So noobish.

Noindex and Nofollow are two different things. Are we talking about a domain that has noindex in site pages or are we talking about a site that has a manual penalty? You can also use the URL removal tool to remove the site from the index. With either of these (noindex or url removal tool), it still doesn't mean the site won't be crawled. You must put a robots file up to stop the crawling.

Now, since this is bhw, I know there is a good chance that the domain we're talking about has a manual penalty, and in that case it makes sense that the links are devalued. However, the above two circumstances should be pointed out.

If they are de-indexed from Google, they may be good for yahoo and Bing. If they are de-indexed from Bing or Yahoo, they may be good for Google. If de-indexed from all three, then to them, you have no backlinks at all...

Good theory to test. Does anyone have a bunch of deindexed sites that they can post a link to one of my domains? Would be a death star of a negative seo tool if that passed negative value. I don't get sites deindexed so I can't do this myself :)

This is a pretty interesting approach. If you do it OP I'd be interested in seeing the results.
