Monthly SEO or one time SEO service?

So I've just finished creating my brand new websites which has no backlinks as of yet, my question is would I be better off ordering a monthly SEO service or a one time service?
I'm thinking that a monthly service would be better as you would be getting constant links whereas with the other service you would be getting links spread over a couple of weeks then it stops...

Depending on what you do otherwise, this might be a good time to learn SEO yourself. You've got the sites built, it is extra work, but you reduce your overhead and have full control over everything that goes on.

Say if I have around 5 websites already up which is making a good amount of profit... most of my time would be going into that therefor I wouldn't have time to do all the SEO work? Would you recommend a monthly service?

Try to realize the basics of SEO and go for hiring monthly SEO with wise strategy. If you could know some basic knowledge of SEO, then you can analyse and differentiate what are good and evil practices, that helps you to make a right pick. If not, you'll suffer from low quality services that lead to penalty from Google. Be aware before endorsing with any IM services.

If you have a website that you believe in and have put in all this work, you would already be doing your own seo work, please stop dumping your chit websites into the internet. Making a great website has a lot parts, if you're telling me you built a website that is a perfect piece of art and all you need is the seo, i just going to say you will not make it in this business sir.

Yup, definitely SEO is an ongoing strategy. Every tactics should be consistent, even if you got to see some ranking for your site.


Choosing any service to do SEO is up to your wish. Before that you should have prior knowledge with the basics SEO to move forward with any services here.

You're speaking in hypotheticals.

You don't get 5 sites 'up and making profit' unless you understand SEO, OR hire someone directly who truly understands it on a zoomed-out level (and pay him or her the $150k+ that he or she demands, and is worth). Therefore, worrying about what might fill your day at an indeterminate point in the future is possibly not the best focus for you right now - I suggest the best focus is figuring out exactly what steps need to be taken to get the first of the 5 sites 'up and making good profit'. SEO is really not difficult, so don't shy away from understanding it inside and out - it's just about building links, with the only variable being what kind of links you build, and in what quantity.

Please don't take what I say as criticism or an attack - it's certainly not intended that way, rather, it's intended to help you focus on what puts cash in the bank account, and that in my view, is the ability to rank sites. That said, I don't have a monopoly on truth, and I'm sure there are plenty of other ways 'to roll'.

PS - given that I think the real money maker is the ability to rank sites, I put it to you that the best use of an IMers time is in fact the SEO aspect, rather than any incidental operational aspect of a ranked site. There are plenty of (cheap) workers available remotely to do whatever cookie-cutter tasks might be involved in delivering a service or product that is sold on your site, but, nothing gets sold if it's not ranked - which therefore loops back around to Mission Critical Step #1 - ranking your sites!. So, spend your time on mission critical, and let task-workers work the tasks.

EDIT: PPS - you said 'wouldn't have time to do all the SEO work'. I have dozens of sites, and I 'do all my own' SEO, but I don't do any SEO work. I decide what needs doing, then I order from service providers, or I have my VA's do it.

Personally, I wouldn't go down the SEO route for a one time event. SEO usually takes time.As tony said,nobody really knows the actual algo of google which is getting updated daily.One thing is sure for everyone is that trust and authenticity makes ,things easy.that's why all are behind making quality backlinks.I would suggest to get 50+ links per day and make sure all those links are indexed by Google with help of bookmarking or pinging.that's the basic seo you can do without any expert.make some time,that's all.later, buy some PBN backlinks for this very forum itself for higher exposure.

SEO must be used Continously to get the long term result. So If You Preper Monthly Basis that also good but keep trying new and new seo packages. First Understand the Concept of SEO ( On Page and Off Pages ) Seo from past and today is completely different.

buying SEO when you have no clue on seo can be more harm than good, think of it this way, all the hard work you put in is probably not going to be as appreciated by the person you hire to do seo, with that in mind less consideration is taken into account by the person you hire, as they will be churning out back links for you to get ranked asap, with that in mind you can be slapped by google.

Best to know whats going on in SEO and how stuff is done so you can adapt your own strategy and instruct a freelancer to do it for you, this is not bullet proof by any means, but turning a blind eye for someone else to deal with it its more risky and likely for you to run into problems down the track.

Its good to start learning now and hold off by doing any 'automated' seo during that time until you are able to do it yourself.
