should i try WHITE/BLACK seo

hey all, i am new member here and not much into this seo thing. never much tried.
i have a website which is going quite good but have PR2 for domain and only 193 backlinks shown in alexa [below 14000 alexa rank] domain and subdomain have different PR .

according to histats results i got 11,84000 search visitors from google [91% of total search]in february.

i wish to increase back links and reach pr4 .

Don't build backlinks unless you know what you are doing. Worst case scenario you will end up losing all your traffic.

Do what you do best, or study.

Both. You will probably end up doing a bit of both regardless once you find out sometimes there's no other way to speed up things.

Well if you are new to the SEO than first you will have understand the difference between white hat and black hat SEO. Once you will know about this i am sure you will be able to decide whether you should go with white hat seo or black hat seo.

You won't go to jail cause you sent 100 links to a site my man lol just don't over do it

forget the PR, focus on DA and a good ratio between CF and TF (CF shouldnt be much higher than TF, a 1:1 ratio would be perfect).

Dont point paid links to your moneysite. Use some web 2.0s as buffer or build your own PBN.
