Link building question- whats best practice here?

Hello, im going to be doing some link building to rank my money site for some low competition keywords. i have 3 keywords that im going for. im going to rank the pages on my site specific to these terms.

i will be using scrapebox to build some comment backlinks (about 100/week to start since its newer domain) which will point to a PR2 2.0 i have. i have two of these 2.0s both with a PR of 2. I plan to "spam" the one im using for tier 3, and only use high pr blog comments on the other one.

Is this the best way to go about building links? I know this is a very small scale however after reading around here i feel it is possible to rank for these low competition keywords with a small amount of backlinks.

I am also thinking its a good idea to target different search engines rather than just google right now. is there any tool i can use to check the search volumes for other search engines? or is googles accurate for all of them?

As far as social signals go i do have an active twitter and facebook page. sometimes my tweets get favorited but rarely retweeted. I sumbit my articles to stumbleupon and delicious for more social signals.

Any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated, i would like to get a discussion going for people building new sites and whats the best practice for seo starting out.

What is it with you guys regurgitating this crap over and over again? You don't need 500 words articles, you can rank fine with 200 words. You don't need 1-2 updates per week, you can rank fine even with one single stale page. Sheeesh...

I believe quality>quantity in this situation. I have around 7-8 articles that average 300 words but are all high quality. I believe this will be enough to rank.

I looked up LSI and im having trouble understanding it. Do you mean my anchors and urls should have names related to my niche or related to what the article is about? LSI is googles way of knowing if the content around your keyword is relevant i believe unless im mistaken

This is where SEO comes in.
Ranking for "yourdomain.com" in SERPS won't help you because nobody (except you) will search for "yourdomain.com".

LSI keyword: "click here", "this website", "here", "download", "click" and so on.
You have to use this LSI keywords as anchors to link from 2.0s to your money site. I think 25% of the anchors should be LSI keywords, 25-35% should be keyword variations and 40-50% should be your main keyword.

Keyword variations: if your main keyword is " my keyword" , a variation of it is "my keyword download" or "my keyword whatever".

Also, you said that you have 7-8 articles on your money website.
You should build links for all of the link that your website has, not just your main page.

It doesn't necessarily have to have likes, retweets but that will help.
Not so sure about this so don't just take my word.

You will obviously be doing yourself a favour by not listening to all the advice that you get from people on forums and by doing your own experiments to see what works for you. Plan a strategy, test it out on a single site, if it works, replicate and scale it further, if it doesn't work try an alternative strategy.

Wrong. The example you used as LSI are generic anchors. LSI means using words that can also be associated with your keywords. For example if your keyword is small cars,LSI could be tiny cars, mini vehicles, small automobiles, etc

yes it would. LSI means latent semantic indexing meaning all other words that are associated with your keyword. If you want some examples, go to google planner, type in your query, set it for broad, and see the ideas and then brainstorm from there (not the easiest way though).
