If you wanted to sell something you would need to pay the fee and open a marketplace thread....but nobody here is going to buy an ebook.

Au contraire, you can sell e-books and there is no reason why such a sales thread would be denied. Words from the higher ups themselves. It's just the fact that not many would buy the e-book that you don't see people selling them here. Of course, un-related or rehashed e-books would obviously be denied.
OP, you just need a Jr.VIP membership to sell in the marketplace which invariably costs $97 (check out memberships) and a 2 month old account. Since you satisfy the time required, you'd just have to pay for the Jr.VIP membership and you're good to go. Mind you, a sales thread costs $30 per annum. A review must also be provided to any member of the staff.

without being a payed member
kinda sad that a low post user is asking for advice and the best
a vip can do is advise him to do the wrong thing to get the
other guy banned ....

OP, most of us here are past the BS Ebook stage.
If you have something outstanding then it might be worthwhile but in all honesty I doubt it is something we haven't seen before.
Why not gain some credibility first before trying to sell?
Share your current work and if it is any good then people may be willing to buy from you in future.
At least you will get some feedback and can assess if it is worth pursuing an Ebook sales thread.
Don't waste your time and money if you intend to sell crap.

exactly boss - we as vips like to joke around and poke fun.
but we where all once new members with small ideas seeking
advice.
