There are always jobs, no matter what you say or do, there's always going to be work available. It may not be what you want, it may not be the pay you want, but there's always a way.

You literally just came on here asking people to give you money daily, "investing" it seems highly unlikely. Even if you were to invest it, how would you know what to do with it if you can't even manage $10/day?

I myself am from the Netherlands and I must say that as a student your life is pretty easy.

What you can do is the following. If you live outside you get a out of house scholarship which would be somewhere
around 280 euros. Go get a job in the nightlife scene on saturday/friday. You'll work around 12 hours a week then.
That means you have 48 hours a month, an average night life job earns around 10 euros per hour. That means
you'll have 480 euros per month + the 280 euros you get from the state. If you still don't have enough then
you can also make a student loan, student loans come with a 0% interest. This means that even if you borrow
2k from the state then in 10 years it will still be just the 2k.

Now with this little guide you should be able to get your life back together and get into school..
Your 18 so I assume you've finished high school(middelbare school). You can either go do
MBO/HBO. If you have the high school diploma (VWO) you can also go to university, please do remember
that university is around 2 times as expensive as HBO and you would probably have to loan money
from the state then.

Honestly living in the Netherlands is the best if you don't have much money. Noone in the Netherlands HAS
to live on the streets, some people just choose to or spend their money on other stuff (drugs).

So keep staying positive my friend . That's the best thing to do!

P.S. If you make it through your first year (I asume you are going to do IT since you like photoshop and stuff).
You can probably get a job at the school were you work and make up to 12 euros+ per hour!

If I was you I would put your dreams on hold, get a job in the real world, get some income and stability in your life. Then and only then start looking at IM in your spare time. That way you can hopefully learn by experience and any mistakes (everyone makes mistakes) wont be disastrous to you.

Lol you think you have it bad OP? At 18 i was kicked out of my house, 6 grand in debt, and on the run from big time drug dealer. But i knuckled down, worked hard, and paid the money back and all that is a distant memory now. Moral of the story - you're not gonna get away from the situation if you don't tackle it. Not that it's that big a deal anyway.. there's plenty of people worse of than you.

You seem to have missed the point of this thread. I don't believe the OP asked for you all to give him some "wise" speech about how shitty life is. I know you think that's helpful, but it's really not. We've all heard it a thousand times before. Perhaps you could actually could actually consider giving him HELPFUL advice? He wasn't asking for a quick way out, a get-rich-quick scheme, or anything of the like. He was simply asking for advice on how to get somewhere in his life, and all you people give this guy is shit.

- you have your school / or even start directly at University - thats possible! without any grades

- you have time to work and earn money


=what might work : get a job where you have to sit around a lot - > that's youre place where you learn

housekeeper / surveillance /night security service....


or any other job that leaves time to learn in evening school or at e-learning University

it's hard, but it's the only chance i see for you to live your dreams...


depending on your country there are lots of e-learning institutions, but be aware of accreditation! not accepted degrees are worthless!

in England: open University
in germany : fernuni hagen
in South Africa is one (i guess it's cheaper than open University)

then the mooc of Harvard, Stanford.... material is free, but you need to pay to take part in exams - makes only sense of you do the exams, but you see there's light at the end of the tunnel

It's not as much that I'm disagreeing with your post; I'm just pointing out that he's probably heard this stuff a thousand times before. Yes, I agree that he can slave away at a minimum wage job just to get by in the beginning if needed, and that there's nothing shameful about that, but I'm sure he already knows that. His problem is not that he's just too lazy to work a low-paying job, it's that a low-paying job on its own is not enough to allow him to put himself through college. He's not afraid of taking a job like that, he just doesn't want to be stuck with a job like that.
