I get Snoopy errors:

Yeah I just started getting the same error. It used to be working fine!

Works for me. Might have been a temporary outage at articlebase.com

You are correct he is not supporting the product anymore. The last anyone heard from him from support is that it was messed up and that was months and months ago. I have tried emailing him and everything to get support. To no avail. So I cleverly sent him a bill via paypal and he quickly responded via email what is this for. So he can answer emails regarding bills but not ones regarding support. So his support being messed up is nothing but a load of crud.
So basically he got lazy. It is sad he still has the site up. Now people who buy it will not know they are getting screwed over. This is sad. A person who will not keep up with there own product. There money for crying out loud. He could have easily made this plug-in to something great and have a steady storm of buyers running to his door.

well I guess CC is dead.
I found Ultimate Content Fetcher . com and bought that. seems to work better for what I use it for anyway. And there is no hidden code in it to post any of his links as CC did.

I actually use that as well with 3 other plug-ins to catch even more content from other places. Allow me to say UCF blows CC out of the water. Not only that the dude that owns it I talked to him via email and he is actually pretty nice.
All in all UCF is definitely worth it. Yet remember kiddies to stay alive longer in google you can not just post content from a few diffrent places you have to ahve a mix of content coming from ALL over. So I have youtube vids and amazon feeds and CB feeds all stream lining to my site to draw content from as many places as possible. That you see is the key.
If you have articles posted from one place such as article base you will quickly *within 3 months* be blacklisted by google. That may not be the case as the owner proclaims that articles are pulled from 10 different sources but I do not desire to figure it out. I have a website I just did with his software and I am recieving 400 visitors a day brand spanking new with his plug-in and a couple of custom plug-ins of my own. Do not ask those will never be released.

Well since nobody anywhere seemed to have an answer for this I went to HG support to see if they could figure it out. And they did. In about 30 mins. Not good news!!!

It looks like articlesbase.com is blocking connections from our ******** SEO server.
I have 10 different accounts with HG and Seohosting 6 work and four don't and all 4 have had the server ip blocked by articlesbase. So no more articles from articlesbase on the 200 blogs on those account
Hope this explains why some of you are having the snoopy articlesbase error. Basically it means whatever hosting account you are using, has had that server blocked. Because the query to download the articles comes from you actual site and not your home ip there is very little you can do about it.

Yes, your right. CC article fetch works on some servers and not others. I find that I'm blocked on SEO Hosting and Host Gator.
I have about a dozen servers and tried CC on some others. It works fine on some of my servers. I just plan to move the domains that need CC articles to servers that operate.

If you can't move to a different server, then build the CC articles on a server that works, then move the database from within Wordpress. I know this method may be a small hassle.

Mine dosen't really work at the moment - might be because of using the cracked version. Yahoo Answers! does work, however Articles does not. That's exactly what i wanted it for.
The problem with CC is basically that it doesn't have control over articlesbase, it just scrap it's content, and the guys behind articlesbase got tired of so many people scrapping their site, so they started to add some protection
They can ban any IP or network from any hosting company safely, because users will normally have an IP in a different range, so it will be more and more difficult to use CC from shared hostings or dedicates with IPs in a banned range
And I think soon or later articlesbase will add some protections similar like articles ezine does, where the system will ban your IP after 50 or articles
