RipOff report is irrelevant as 99% of the reports are for vendors within their eco-system not complaints against CB themselves.
There have been many myths about CB, and perhaps I have a horseshoe up my arse because these do not affect my slate (I run 20+ products with them as a vendor, and push as an aff as well in many large volume ways).
People have stipulated and tried to break down all possibilities including:
* CB fraud/skim/shave/fill in your own creative scammy accusation here_____
* Over Sensitive RMS (Risk Management Software) which triggers/flags accounts causing gaps
* Straight tracking malfunctions/errors/flaws etc.
* Random other reasons...
The thing is, most if not all affiliates that go through random gaps and fluctuations are doing so with like 0-10 sales a day in one or two niches with a few hundred hops a day... This is NOT suitable for debate with many variables at hand above and beyond any of the above myths/truths...
I've made over 10,000 transactions in over 20 accounts, had 5 figure days, made hundreds of sales in 24hrs etc. and on a large volume there is much to be said about CB that is positive instead of any of this peanut shaving shit everyone points to.
Another thing to take into consideration is the fact that variable change is very much alive in any marketplace. Reasons campaigns fail/dry out can include:
* Affiliate saturation
* Competition entered for the offer/other networks picked it up
* Your competitors ate your campaign/lp's/keys/adspots...
* Someone is doing a few big blasts eating all the sales
* SmartPricing traffic/crap traffic
* Trend shifts/market shifts
* Product life-cycles
* Consumer awareness
* Alternatives/price points
* It was a crappy day/it rained/snowed/it was Easter Sunday...
* You just suck at affiliate marketing and still get 5-10 hops a day thinking you'll convert soon. (get a min. 100 - targeted a day for 14 days straight to gage anything)
* Ok clickbank did have a real, legitimate, screw up today, and last week, etc. - they all do.
Over all, in my few years of this - I've had 3-4 small hiccups with them however at the end of the day they are more than a necessary evil, and facilitate epic growth/automation capabilities above and beyond their little quirks. Nobody can tell me any CPA or other in-house/indy is perfect 100% of the time or that they don't shave/cut you/accuse you/interrogate you/restrict you/f*** you in many creative ways for the slightest mishap, where as CB is perhaps even too lenient at times with what they let in the door and what they let aff's get away with...
I rambled, haven't been here in a bit but yeh one day I spent a good chunk of time reading the ripoff report stuff from angry customers complaining about not getting refunds or inability to reach people at respective websites, they all think clickbank is one big publishing house with its own products

- still goes to show that the submission gates at CB are loose, and recently with product lines getting dropped left and right, it might finally be time that quality control goes up a notch enabling for cleaner programs and rep/bottom lines for all.
Cheers to all you CB'ers, don't let the haters discourage you from the pot of gold, it IS there, and CB is a great avenue to add to your pot.
