I've played this game BIG TIME in the past, making a LOT of money. Quantity over quality was always my recipe for massive success even when ppl where touting the contrary. PPI/PPD/slicing CPA offers blanking/faking the referrer and pumping extra hits to dilute the CTR: it doesn't matter how you monetize, bulk uploading on YT has been proven a good money making method for ages. But you need to learn how the rules in order to do that properly...
And the first rule of thumb is that you should NEVER EVER follow is the developer's APIs with youtube. If you call yourself a blackhatter that's actually a very good rule to stick to just anywhere on the interwebz...

If you wanna play the YT game uploading massive numbers you should at least code / get yourself a bot that logs into the standard YT web interface and mimics what a user would do because the major roadblock between you and making a LOT of money here is to have a constant stream of healthy accounts unlike, let's say, twitter, for instance where account creation is trivial... Don't get your hopes high about keeping them alive for TOO long anyway but using their APIs when bulk uploading just screams bhw s.p.a.m.m.e.r and, most of all, do not underestimate this suggestion.
Bottom line is an old recipe: find a way to make slideshows fast, turn them into videos and make them unique (change md5 checksum) somehow, get a decent bot to upload in bulk avoiding their APIs on YT and possibly a decent account provider if you don't have a dynamic public IP, leave a link somewhere as a watermark or the description box and you'll be on your way to bank whatever monetizing method you'll go for. It's so easy it's painful...
