Surely i can't be the only one that's noticed this, it seems a lot of guys on the net from china / india / pakistan somewhere along the line have been taught calling another guy "Dear" is cool / normal.

This has to stop, and it seems to be widespread, I feel like im speaking to my grandmother or something.

Exactly, and "bro" 20 times is also not normal.

Settle down now Dear.
It's a term of endearment and took me a bit of getting used to but
what the heck? I'm not going to turn down business because someone
referred to me as "Dear".

you absolutely correct dear boombap

omg i am so sorry dear, for saying dear

LOL mate, I'm laughing my ass out right now... Yes, I had been talking to a salesperson from China and he was calling me dear all the time.
I, initially, thought he was a girl but most sentences he sounded like a guy

Conclusion: one of the most awkward moments in my life.

and "mate" 20 times is not normal :D I feel like you guys are my school mates haha

Before I joined BHW, I'm in lots of FB groups about SEO and blogging. Most of the members are Indian/Pakistani so you can just imagine how many bros and dears I've read. But it's part of their culture so we've to accept it. :D
