I have a site that needs a major SEO audit. I believe it was hit by a penalty but I'm not sure. Looking for someone who can really analyze the back link profile (all earned links - never bought). Also helping with tags and titles, etc. My keywords are very non competitive and my site is a PR3.

Not looking for any link services or anything like that. Just someone who really knows what they are doing and can help me out of this rutt I'm stuck in and get the site in the right direction.

If you are sure that it has been banned by Google, there are services which take you out from banned situation but they are pretty expensive.

I can help, there's also a ton of services here that can help. If you go to the marketplace you may find something useful. Also if you've been hit by a penalty I hear Sherlock gets rid of bad links now.

Go to your webmaster tools and see if there is penalty you will get message. Thank go watch video that will be provided there on how to solve the problem.
If you abused KWs, best way is to disavow all links from the time you started abusing it.

This is only true for a manual penalty. He can still be hit by an algorithm without getting a message.

If you want to know whether you got hit by an algorithm or not, check to see if there is a specific date that your traffic dropped off. If it did so gradually it's likely not an algorithm penalty, if it did so over a day or two look up some change logs like the moz temperature thinga-mabob or something. There are logs on the internet somewhere... and see if there is a corrersponding update.
